Ocean of Dreams Perfume Oil

Ocean of Dreams Perfume Oil

$45.00

One of the nearest and dearest Pisces to our heart, and proprietress of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and Twilight Alchemy Lab, Elizabeth Barrial, ritually crafted this stunning perfume oil at the equivalent Moon-Neptune election in her location. She writes —

This perfume encapsulates the sensation of descending slowly and languorously into a warm pool of dark water, and holds within it the voices from the nights before night existed, before twilight bisected the day; whispers burbling from our primodial subconscious, sending omens, portents, and symbols on dark wings. This is the stuff of your dreams, the dreams of your ancestral line, the dreams of your future selves, and the flotsam of dreams that buffet around you and buoy you.

The bottles were bathed in water steeped with blue lotus petals, clary sage, and rose mallow, and charged under the auspices of Jupiter on Sunday, August 26th from 7:28-8:21PM beneath the full moon in Pisces. This oil has been crafted to be worn as a perfume and to be used in a ritual capacity.

Signs and symbols, both subtle and shrieking, drifting like thick-tentacled currents through the black ocean before time: blue lotus absolute, white champa flower Co2 select, French lavender essential oil and buds, armoise mugwort essential oil, styrax essential oil from sapwood and bark tissue, liquidamber orientalis, CO2 extract of butter, marshmallow root, frankincense carterii essential oil and gum, coconut oil, bay leaves, and orris root and butter, all steeped for a full lunation in kewra and oudh attars.

Please note that these bottles may contain solid plant matter, and each bottle contains a piece of amethyst.

Enchanting. Intoxicating. An absolute dream. Only 80 bottles were created.

Ocean of Dreams always has an intoxicating effect on me. It makes me feel dreamy and languorous. It makes me feel... vaguely drunk - but totally cognizant. It lulls me to sleep eventually as I have always used it before bed - it makes a great sleep aid. I need to experiment and use it when not trying to go to sleep, with the little I have left (I spilled most of all over myself and the bed one evening - that intensified the intoxicating effect a little, but not exponentially).

This is so wonderful, it helps me get in to a ritual frame of mind, really easily. It's like sinking in to a cloud of warm blankets. You plunge in to a calm place, a nice center. It's fantastic for clearing your mind and making you focus. You aren't exactly you, but you still "are." Good for trance work. I hope it returns.

Ocean of Dreams is heavy on the Neptune and Lunar aspects for me. It's got that heavy watery quality. Not silvery (which is often much more Lunar to me). This is deep salt water. I got a bit of lavender and mugworth, and a touch of both frankincense and bay.

Anything Neptune related isn't a natural fit for me (as a Sagittarius with strong solar and a ton of earth in my chart), and it feels more like as if I went into a sensory deprivation chamber. I do remember having a very very long deep sleep, but honestly can't recall any dreams from that. I've only used it once before I had to be away due to travel, but look forward to using it more regularly to see what dreams it brings.

I have been using this oil before I go to sleep for a few months and it is rather alarming how my views of myself and the world have shifted as a result of dreaming. I have not read the description since I purchased last Sept., but wow, it is spot on. I started to have dreams of my ancestors which have led me to digging into my own roots and finding coincidental connections (is there such a thing as coincidence, really?). I am following the path that was opened as a result of my dreaming using this oil. I have found that I can layer it with other oils that invoke certain feelings to me in order to push my dreaming in a certain direction, even to answer questions. When using in tandem with another oil, I always put Ocean of Dreams on my left wrist, as the side of the feminine and of receiving. The other oil, on the right wrist to project what I want to know or where I want my dreams to take me. I’m down to half a bottle and will mourn the day it is gone! Truly a masterpiece. (And it smells amazing too!!)

This is an amazing, transporting oil. A little goes a LONG way and lasts and lasts.
I used this for scrying and was assisted in channeling. Receptivity is opened. Prepare to ground yourself fully after ritual with this consciousness-altering substance.

This delicious smelling, potent oil makes me dizzy and spaced out in the best way possible. I’m already a huge fan of BPAL’s and had never purchased from Sphere and Sundry so I expected nothing more than a traditional good-smelling BPAL offering but HOLY WOW. Dreamy dreamy dreamy.
