Mercury in Gemini Body Butter
Organic and wildcrafted chickweed, lemongrass, bayberry root, and seeds of caraway, fennel, celery, and coriander were fumigated with frankincense during our Mercury in Gemini election, combined with a proprietary blend of safflower, sweet almond, apricot kernel, and jojoba oils.
These were left to incubate for many, many moons, and then combined with organic shea butter and coconut oil before being whipped with a refreshing, stimulating blend of Mercurial essential oils.
Brings speed to the thought process, bounce to the step, and lightness to being. Diurnal or social use advised!
Offered in a 2 oz pot or a 6 oz bulk pot.
Important note: Body Butters are prone to melting in transit during hot weather, especially when shipped ground and/ or not collected immediately!
They are whipped (like cream) to create a soft, spreadable texture. When Body Butters melt in transit, the air within gets separated from the oil base, making the jar *appear* less full. Rest assured that we never send “half empty” Body Butters. You are getting the *same amount* of product when this happens. None leaked if the exterior of the jar and label are not oily. Your Butter can be restored by putting it into the refrigerator and re-whipping it, or used as-is, whatever you prefer! It retains its magical and herbal potency regardless of air content.
Refunds or replacements are not given for items that melt in transit. Only the Client understands what the weather is like in their area around the time they order, what their personal mail scenario is (put inside a climate controlled building or likely to be left in a hot mailbox?), and what type of shipping they choose. If your order qualifies for free shipping, please add your preference as a note if you have one. You can also refrain from obtaining items that may melt in hot conditions by saving those acquisitions for cooler weather.

As a remedy for unblocking stuck energy in my body (and excess Saturn energy), I knew I had to try this body butter, and sure enough it has become one of my favorite things to wear during the day. It is SO uplifting and makes me feel so light and unburdened. Helps a lot too with letting go, not taking things so seriously etc. I tend to carry a lot of density or heaviness in my hips, so I love to apply it there. With Mercury as my chart ruler as well, I feel that it also helps with maintaining my health and keeping a youthful energy. I feel very motivated to be physically active the more I engage with this series.
I also find the scent lovely and not overpowering at all! If i had to change anything it would be a little bit softer, but it still absorbs into the skin just fine the longer you rub it in.
This body butter has been extremely helpful for waking me up out of ruts and feeling stagnant. It gives me a sense of novelty and sparkle.
As a Cancer rising with my Sun and Mercury in Gemini in the 12th House, I can tend to get anxious when I can see things but do not have an opportunity to speak up. I was inspired to try this because of the the Mars transit happening in my First House with hope that it will help me use this transit to stand up for myself by speaking up and not just be irritable and hold my tongue to avoid confrontation. I have been experimenting with this body butter and noticed that when I am using it as a morning ritual that I am more clear, centered and direct. The days that I have skipped, I have noticed my mental wheels turning more and feeling unsettled.

For when I really need to relax and play. It gives a hint of salad dressing, scent-wise, which makes me laugh a little, which is the whole point. Love you, relaxation playtime salad butter!
This body butter smells like sexy rye bread! I love using it when I'm going out "romping" (exploring different neighborhoods for fun.) Great for safe travels and fun experiences. Also may lead to interesting conversations!
This is the first body butter from S+S I’ve ever used – and the first one I’ve ever used in general! Somewhat oily at first which then changes as it moisturizes the skin. Talismanically light and airy – as you'd expect from a whipped body butter. It felt like I got a typing speed boost after using it, too!
At first this series didn't seem to do anything for me. I think what changed was, I gave it a job. I wanted to be more present with my spouse. I put the body butter on and stated this intent out loud. Not only did it absolutely work-- I was also more verbal than I normally am (combust Aries Mercury natally). So now every time I use this, I give it a job-- it works! Also this body butter has a wonderful texture-- simultaneously light and rich.
I have both the anointing oil and the body butter of this serie, and while the body butter seems more "light" in its effects, it's still a great support for me in my day-to-day activities, since I mostly do writing, divination, being present online and doing a lot a communication. I bought it in a Mercury/Gemini profection year, and it has helped me a great deal with all of that, and with learning astrology with more dedication. It helps with focus, but can also lead to other new ideas, new paths, new ways of thinking.
This body butter feels light, physically and spiritually. Doesn't mean it's not a heavy hitter. It's a pleasant but not overwhelming scent, and the butter is smooth, quick-absorbing and creamy. It definitely helps focus and speed, and improves my ability to multitask without getting distracted (not normally a strong suite). I have Gemini in the 4th house and the weekend I got this order I cleaned my loft bedroom - which was a task I had found overwhelming and couldn't bring myself to do for far longer than I'm willing to admit on the internet. This body butter has continued to be a keen ally for housework.
The scent is very subtle and complex, and wears lightly. I love the energy boost this materia provides! It does what I often wish coffee could/would, without the jittery side effects.
Mercury in Gemini has been the easiest variant for me to engage in. Mercury Cazimi was very solar, and Exalted Mercury hits a hard working stellium on my chart. Mercury in Gemini feels more effortless - and is all about pivoting. Life doesn't always go your way but being able to move past that and focus on other things has been MiG's gift. I love the body butter because it gives a light overlay of that energy that pairs well with other Mercury materia or materia from other series. Perfect for when you know you have to flow with whatever today will throw you.
I took the advice to applying to the feet in order to expedite travel time and my Bay Area travel times are running close at the absolute minimum. Cars change lanes for no apparent reason and a patch of open road appears.
Peak commute gridlock is a whole other beast - and here's where it really shines, imho - as long as you give Mercury a little room to work with. I opted for the backroad and... nobody else was on it. Gorgeous backroads and the opportunity to have fun with the 6-speed. Win. Spotted a big fat raven (rare, this close to the city). Cool and omen-ous. These backroads took me by the bookstore, so I decided to pop to see if they'd randomly have a book on Inanna I was looking for - and they did - for $7. Not far from it they had a book called The Raven and the Totem - a book which contains 60 Alaskan Native traditional stories - one of the few of its kind.
As far as the practical: feels great, works with my overly sensitive skin (where most sweet almond things don't), and the smell is refreshing yet subtle.
This is wonderful! My dreams are interesting, I think of something and it happens better than I'd imagined, all kinds of good stuff in this. Not only that, it was full to the brim, right to the top of the jar!
I am using this butter on my hands during the daytime since I received it. The butter has delightful smell of fennel, very light pleasant texture that melts easily on the skin, and pleasant uplifting charge that makes you want to do something - to reply to that email, to read that article, to write this review 🙂
Kate likened MiG to sipping coffee vs EM to maybe adderall. MiG body butter is subtle, calm, and hits me less like truck going 90 miles per hour. Exalted Mercury is one of my absolute favorite series to work with, but it's INTENSE and FAST and can be a little harsh. I'm a pretty social introvert and EM unlocks my *talking mode*. Mercury in Gemini is the more polite, mild, reserved cousin to EM. I ease into it, I acclimate to it, I wade into the waters rather than dive off the diving tower face first. I love both for different reasons, but MiG is so kind and caring with how it presents itself. Texture wise MiG is softer and more whipped (?). I've only been using this butter for a few days but it's already a favorite.
