Grass-Fed Tallow + Manuka Honey Whipped Body Butter
In honor of Venus’ rulership over the bovine’s sign, Venus' Earthly Delights features our first tallow and honey body butter!
Organic, grass-fed, food-grade tallow with organic shea and herbally infused jojoba — ritually crafted during Sphere + Sundry’s exquisite Venus in Taurus election. Whipped with organic beeswax and genuine manuka honey.
Scented with authentic tuberose and hinoki.
Promotes embodiment, self-care, self-love, and the refilling of one’s own cup. Draws food, gifts, and lovely social experiences. Richly moisturizing, and promotes a healthy skin barrier.
Makes for an excellent perfume primer!
A little goes a very long way.
Important note: Body Butters are prone to melting in transit during hot weather, especially when shipped ground and/ or not collected immediately!
They are whipped (like cream) to create a soft, spreadable texture. When Body Butters melt in transit, the air within gets separated from the oil base, making the jar *appear* less full. Rest assured that we never send “half empty” Body Butters. You are getting the *same amount* of product when this happens. None leaked if the exterior of the jar and label are not oily. Your Butter can be restored by putting it into the refrigerator and re-whipping it, or used as-is, whatever you prefer! It retains its magical and herbal potency regardless of air content.
Refunds or replacements are not given for items that melt in transit. Only the Client understands what the weather is like in their area around the time they order, what their personal mail scenario is (put inside a climate controlled building or likely to be left in a hot mailbox?), and what type of shipping they choose. If your order qualifies for free shipping, please add your preference as a note if you have one. You can also refrain from obtaining items that may melt in hot conditions by saving those acquisitions for cooler weather.
Thank you for understanding!

I was very skeptical of a tallow BB as tallow body care can create an unpleasant, greasy funk, but, of course S+ is an exemplar in the category. The fragrance is lovely and light and but fully present. It is so emollient and nourishing and I would not call it greasy. I feel held in comfort and ease when I wear it, like when there is a shared story or laugh with a loved one. It's just so very soft and nice.
I am a bit of a connoisseur of S+S body butters and this one is the absolute best. There is a strong base of Neroli/Orange blossom to the scent. I love the tallow consistency. Some tallow based products are a bit too savory smelling, like you are rubbing meat on your face. This one is not! It is light and delightful in smell and texture.
I love the floral and tallow scent, someone mentioned it’s a bit smoky to them and I agree. I get a note of nicotine (maybe nicotiana?) in the best possible way.
The texture is wonderful. A little goes a long way and it absorbs quickly. It leaves my normally dry skin silky and hydrated.
Sometimes l layer it with Golden Titan body butter for a an extra lift. On its own it envelopes me in a Venusian bubble that’s both light and supportive.
Overall I find it consistently luscious, balanced and sensual. This sensuous Venusian bubble is wonderful for self-care, for better focus during Venus rites, when relaxing, and more personal earthly delights.
Possibly the most mosturizing body butter I have. A tiny amount mosturizises a large area. This will most likely last me at least a year, (whereas I went through the salve pretty quickly). The scent is rosey, but there is a ”medicinal” hint to it. The salve scent is closer to the oil. Lovely, relaxing.
Rich, lush and unctuous. Or, as we'd say in the west of England, gert lush (gorgeous).
I paused on this for a while because I was cautious about a tallow-based body butter. I needn't have waited. Though different in texture than other S+ body butters - its somehow wetter and waxier - this absorbs quickly and brings a relaxed, all's well with the world, meadowy vibe.
On first opening, the tuberose-forward scent was overpowering, almost cloying. So much so that I thought this wasn't for me. But with use the intensity ebbs. I've tended, as with other body butters, to cut this with a regular, bland, vegetable based lotion - the magical effects remain and this approach makes it absorb more easily and go much further.
And - oh my! - the colour. I'd use it for that alone. A unique rose-blush-peach. Grounded and utterly femme. It echoes the lazy, summer meadow of a scent when the days are long: the bucolic 'oozing fatness and warm ferments' that Thomas Hardy wrote of in Tess of the D'Urbervilles, 'when the landscape seemed lying in a swoon.'
It is a really nice body butter! Remember to melt it in your hands before using it on your body. Very luxurious, I would use it all the time if I could but I am trying to save it and make it last longer. This is great to mix a bit with your own body oils. It helps in giving you self confidence and self-love, to really love and appreciate your body and everything that it does for you everyday!
The distinct scent (and texture) of this body butter surprised me upon first application, particularly because the scent is very different from the standard series anointing oil. The scent reminds me of Pond's cold cream, the vintage kind that came in the pink lid or jar (this is a compliment!). The texture is denser and more akin to a light moisturizing cream or an emulsified gel than the standard body butter, which is more airy and light. I recommend this especially for folks who like a deeper, richer scent!
I am an avid user of body butters and this is a top favorite! The smell is divine! It's very relaxing yet somehow feels indulgent and luxurious. The first time I wore it my husband immediately commented on how nice I smell. I put this on when I want to relax, feel lovely, and smell fantastic!
This stuff smells so good, I started wondering if I can eat it… (decided no). But it’s a beautiful color and aroma, really magical and luxurious.
Thank you
Ps. I tried to add a photo because it’s so beautiful, but the website wouldn’t take the photo file size.
Wonderful, silky and makes me feel pretty, something I was taught in childhood not to think (hooray for overcoming 50 years of b.s.!). I received more sales than usual the day it arrived, too. Truly fabulous.
I always thought tuberose was a note I couldn’t get on with in perfume, but was curious enough to try this. At first my reaction was that yes, this was pretty much the note I don’t like. And yet somehow I have felt compelled to use this body butter almost daily since purchasing. It is a very strong scent, but now I think of it as the intense fragrance of flowers that I pass on a summer walk. It’s very garden-evoking. Or I think of it as some type of ointment from my grandma’s house, which had items you would never come across elsewhere, but which worked, like her lanolin hair cream for example.
I now have come to like the scent even though it’s not what I would have picked. It’s GROWN on me (yes the garden imagery is inescapable). By the way, my grandmother’s Venus is conjunct my own. In Taurus. So there is that.
On another technical note I’m fascinated by the consistency of this stuff. It’s almost - but not quite - a gel-like texture. I can run a fingertip over the surface and get enough for a good application, one that smells like a garden as mentioned, or like a bunch of flowers sitting nearby. It’s that concentrated and yet effortless to apply. It feels very good on my skin, goes in beautifully, and soundly comforts and soothes me in this very matter of fact way which isn’t particularly emotional, or at least is the opposite of histrionic. Again, sort of like my grandma’s vibes. It helps me sleep and steadies my nerves. The addictive quality of it is almost strange given that straightforward nature.
I have gone back to eating a lot of cakes lately and I don’t know if the link with this body butter is the stressful time that made me lean on it, or if it’s Venus making me want that stuff. So I think it’s time to connect with some other energies to balance things out. But for now, I’ll go and have another mince pie…
This is my first body butter (so I didn't have any preexisting expectations texturally) and WOW do I love this. The dreamiest, most luscious, hydrating, s(m)ooothing skin product! And the scent is earth Venus perfection. For reference, I find it smells more like the main lip balm than the main oil—not rosy, but very spicy, floral, woodsy—which I really love. And while I don't see myself running out of the small jar anytime soon (a little goes so very, very far) I can't imagine not snagging the larger jar in the end too, as I want to use the product nearly everyday. Grounded and embodied Venus heaven
Unfortunately this wasn't for me! Nothing against the magic or quality which was there as ever, but I do prefer the usual body butter consistency over this, which I found to be a bit dense and sticky somehow. I also found the smell strangely smoky to me (which doesn't seem to be other people's experiences) so it felt quite overwhelming to wear. Very clearly good for my skin and bringing indulgent Venus vibes though!
I really love the tallow and manuka mix - this blends really beautifully and absorbs in the skin well. I feel that the scent is pretty overpowering and would've loved something a bit more subdued (ex: Healing the Heart oil, Exalted Luna salve are my favorite scents and offer a lot of gentleness/ease) but this is still beloved by my partner.
I’ve been trying to over achieve lately during the day mostly with my work… but at night I can over achieve with relaxing and enjoying my life. I put this on every night. It smells great, and our friend even came through and surprised us with making us lots of smash burgers. I’ve been experimenting with using this materia during the day time too. Ive been a bit hesitant because I’m afraid of it making me lazy, but I found ways of tapping into a new source of motivation that comes from joy and feeling beautiful. Lately it has been finding motivation and joy from pleasure in existing. Truly delightful. My Taurus moon is way at home with this delightful addition.
The scent and luscious consistency are intoxicating! I adore this stuff and find it a fitting expression of Venusian delights. It leaves my skin wonderfully smooth as well.
I don't particularly care of the scent of this body butter but it's so relaxing and moisturizing it really doesn't matter. This body butter is almost like a cross between a salve and a body butter; it's truly one of the most moisturizing and cocooning body butters in the catalogue. I love the way it makes me feel more grounded and nourished, and it's especially delightful on the feet.
Feel cocooned and cared for while using it. Not overly strong-scented, with luxurious and smooth application, and quickly absorbed by my skin.
I love the use of beef tallow in this formula, it's not like any other S+S body butter (maybe closest to Butter Ocean). It's a soft rose floral scent and just melts into the skin. And just emanates Venus.
This formula feels much different from all other butters, less fluffy and more dense. The scent is stronger (to me) than the other butters and lasts quite a while. I can see how many people would like using this for the skin benefits of the formula. I've been trying to find a way to describe the relaxation, it's grounding but light? Floaty but rooted? Very difficult to describe, but pleasant!
The body butter is tuberose sweet and is certainly uplifting to experience, but I don't get any evergreen scent backing it up. Either way, it provokes a real feeling of relaxation, just the thing to soothe frazzled nerves. Plus after use, among gal friends the other day we found ourselves looking at pics of celeb men and talking about our crushes whilst laughing like teenage girls again! The joy was infectious and lasted days after, I'm sure this had something to do with it!
Silky smooth and feels so nourishing. As others have said, it’s more dense than the fluffy body butters and has its own feel along with scent and effects- all of which are delightful and lovely.
This body butter is less whipped and fluffy and more smooth and maybe a bit more oily but not the kind of oily that sits on your skin but sinks in quickly. I love the scent— much more fragrant to me than other S&S creams. It’s very floral and sweet feeling. Impossible not to feel uplifted and pleasant!
This body butter is tremendous. It actually sinks in to the skin. Usually other body butters sit on my skin and *maybe* sink in after like three hours but this melts in quite fast and it hasn’t been occlusive to my pores or follicles. The scent is beautiful… the description notes tuberose and hinoki but you cannot fathom what this scent feels like on your body until it’s there. It’s not perfumy, it’s not too heavy, and along with the body butter the scent sinks in and kind of dissipates, leaving you smelling pleasant but, again, not perfumed. Incredibly healing to the nervous system.
Another S+S product I would buy even if it wasn't enchanted! Beautifully moisturising. Venus in Taurus is a wonderful and easy to enjoy series.
ViT body butter reconnected my default sensuality. There was an energy current of innocence and pleasure that I hadn’t felt or been able to access in many, many years!
