The first time I used this I was installing new speakers in my car and I thought it would give me like a Bruce Springsteen vibe in the "I'm on Fire" video.
That didn't work out. I actually butted heads with another motorist at one point cuz the energy had nowhere to go. Mercury would have been better.
I swore off it for a while but then I realized it's best for actually constructing something, and tasks requiring courage or physical strength. Fiddling with speakers isn't exactly a warriors game. For me it wants a mission. It wants to demonstrate force, resolve, valor, or protection.
Now that I found out how and when it works for me, I love it for matters requiring valor, muscle and grit. Doesn't even flinch.
This oil smells musty like a very attractive man's cologne. It's martial without being overly heating. It brings on tactical and strategic thinking.
Great for a productivity boost and to get things done. I have a natal mars in Capricorn so I like this energy!
Ferrum Noctis is the best pre-workout I've ever used. I have been absolutely KILLING IT in the gym since I started anointing myself before I go. The focus and intensity it brings to my training is top notch!
Even getting a tiny bit on my fingers while applying it to candles as an offering in a Day and Hr of Mars for remediation for a retrograde and debilitated natal Mars was enough to supercharge me. Opening the bottle to catch a whiff of that powerful fragrance in got the blood flowing, figuratively! I’m gonna need to go slow even on this calmer, refined Exalted Mars on this because it’s promising a ride…
When I wear this oil I feel unstoppable. I feel like I am able to conquer the world and that nobody can stand in my way. I feel sexy, confident, and just so sure of all that I am. It’s a sultry and deep feeling, not dark but definitely gives night time seduction and power vibes.
My natal Mars/Saturn conjunction in Capricorn loves this oil. It has quite a strong scent, which I find a bit overwhelming when applied directly to the body. Grounded yang, very sexy.
I find this oil comparable to the Saturn in Capricorn oil that I purchased from S+S in effect, though somewhat different. While the grounding effect is the same, the nature of the focus it provides is a little warmer--a calm yet ruthless devotion to whatever task is at hand. A favorite in my collection of materia.
This oil is great for when you need to tackle one or more projects or items on your to do list. It’s motivating without being overactive and helps me complete tasks that I’ve been putting off.
I love it as an additional support for my ADHD. My husband loves it for busy days at work when he has to switch between priorities and projects. He states that it keeps him focused and driven throughout a long day.
Also, it smells incredible!
The only potential drawback that I’ve noticed when using it is that my patience wears thin faster than usual. As a Mars ruled person, this is already a concern for me, so I use it sparingly.
At this point I'm used to being impressed by S+ creations but this Oil during Mars day in Mars hour while Mars was transiting Scorpio in a Mars ruled year???? Exceptional. The level of grounded focus is truly next level. It's a Mars that really does lay in wait, doesn't run too hot, doesn't get too excited. It's go time without the drama, without the second guessing, and without a single apology. It's already given me tremendous insight into my martial art and I've only worn it a handful of times. There's no wasted energy--just a tremendous desire to stay in my lane, doing my thang, and being as excellent as possible at it. I honestly cannot wait to layer this with VED and see what unfolds. Please do use this early in the day, however, as it really packs a diurnal punch!
I can forever sing the praises of this materia - it's so effective at really embodying progress over perfection. I just do *the thing* without languishing at the thought of the thing and sitting in "waiting mode" with my natal Mars in Aquarius cheekily smiling from the couch.
My Capricorn placements LOVE and sing when I put this on - I can embody my vision and tap away at a to-do list. I finally feel like I can climb my own mountains. I've experimented with other Mars materia, and I just become a hot, stressy, outwardly projected emotional mess. I appreciate the learning process, but they are clearly not my ministry, haha. Not this Cappy Mars, tho. I can saddle that sh-- down and get the ball rollin'. 10/10, no notes. Keep on keepin' on.
Instead of a sudden burst of energy, it gives you long-lasting and consistent energy and motivation. It’s extremely helpful when you don’t feel like getting out of bed. Very wearable and helps you accomplish your work
Interestingly this made me want to wear dark colors (black and red), which I usually don't. It also helps with libido! Asides from that, this oil so far has helped me get past my own self doubt/limitations to reach out and take the next steps towards my career, which I had been stalling on for a few months... only to realize that there were no logistical barriers to the next step, only in my mind... This was a small act but a big step for me personally, as I had been in this vibe of self doubt/fear this year (transits impacting this include Mars retrograde in Leo , Saturn in Aries over my natal Mars Leo and Aries ASC).
Mars materia was the last materia I got out of all the 7 spheres. I ended up using Ferrum Noctis in the same week and I used Thema Mundi to work with Mars. I didn't even apply the oil directly to myself. The results of Ferrum Noctis were felt nonetheless. My libido and athletic stamina both went up. Mind you I'm on medication that tankers my libido yet Mars was magical. I have also been working out for 3 weeks and I'm extremely happy with that. Also, Mars is my timelord for the next year starting next month so I suspect it's one of the reasons I felt its effects so loudly.
I used this a few times at work for tough meetings where my team presents to the executive leaders of our company. The executives grill us so we have to have a strong command of the data (or else). I applied this oil on myself minutes before our mtg and felt an overwhelm of a quiet, more strategic sense of confidence. Normally these mtgs make me feel very nervous (shaky voice and all!) and attacked/defensive. Lately with this materia I’ve embraced my inner badass who stands on much stronger grounds and I’m so thankful.
I really like this oil for productivity. The first time I used it I got a MASSIVE somatic hit as soon as I opened the bottle and took a sniff. So grounding, like it instantly snapped me to attention and just planted me in my chair. I’ve used it a few times over the last couple of weeks and the effect has mellowed out nicely - I find it very wearable, and especially useful when I need to motivate myself to get through a task that I just don’t want to do (which sadly has been happening a lot at work). I love the spicy-woody smell of it, and the scent clings more than a lot of other oils, so rubbing a bit on the back of my hand and then occasionally giving it a lil’ sniff is a nice way to reground and refocus when I’m working.
