Consecrated Mars-Jupiter herbal matter, dragon’s blood, alkanet, red beet, and hibiscus in organic cane alcohol. Essential oils and 24k gold.
Use to stain the backdrop of sigils and petition papers (best when allowed to dry before writing).
Anoint or draw upon the vessel.
Can also be used as an ink, but since our inks are 100% botanically derived, they are relatively light and may clog fountain pens!

I have been using this ink to draw sigils on myself to move my body more and get steps in. It's been great for exercise.
Like my fellow reviewer, I'd been avoiding Mars materia but I'm so glad I took the plunge! This ink is beautiful and a real ally when it comes to working physical exercise into your routine. The gym is not my thing and I'm quite the couch potato, but if I use this on my skin, I really enjoy getting outside and getting the blood pumping!
Despite having connected with many other Sphere and Sundry series, I avoided this one. I was unsure about what Mars-Jupiter would feel like. I thought it just wasn't my vibe, and if I'm honest I was afraid. Then when I received some health news and it was clear I could not side step getting serious about an exercise routine. This was the motivational support I needed to write a contract with myself, spelling out my goals and signing on for the work ahead. This was the accountability juice I needed to not just get moving but also get excited about showing up consistently.
before truly grueling activity i like to brand myself with mars' glyph with this - like i can sustain if i'm stained! - and offer him up the effort. i find this form in general more devotional bc i'm usually the canvas.
I painted the Mars glyph on my arm before heading out for a run yesterday. I’ve been in recovery mode from giving birth and have only been running 4 miles at a time, but yesterday when the thought popped into my head to double my normal circuit, I knew I had to do it, and I did! The energy in this series is very energizing and tenacious, and much more supportive and smooth than I would expect from Mars (thanks, Jupiter)! Mars is my out-of-sect malefic, but I still found the energy to be very approachable. (Also, the ink smells great and is a lovely translucent deep red with sparkles!)
I purchased this ink and stain to support my clay and kiln firing art practices with excellent results. My throwing has leveled up (literally, with props from teacher). My kiln firing has gotten more experimental resulting in new home made oxides but also a clay egg exploded on the wood burning stove. Clay teacher also currently pushing me to try a raku kit (slightly dangerous clay firing tool).
So far effects are: drive to perform, particularly under the supervision of a coach/teacher/elder; mildly reckless behavior in pursuit of goals; compliments from people I respect; accidentally turning fires (real and metaphorical) both up and down; amazing endurance on hikes; increased word play and laughing at my own jokes.
I haven’t layered this with anything yet, it’s pretty clear that I need to make something in the kiln for it before we move onto more complex engagements. Lots of fun!
I have several of the inks from S+ and this one is my all time favorite to wear on the body. It has a really lovely deep red color with beautiful sparkles in it. I had tremendous success drawing glyphs on my body with it before a particularly difficult martial arts practice. It gives an uplifting and "let's fkn goooo bro" kinda vibe that I personally really adore. Five stars!!
I used this for a health & vitality related sigil and I noticed a difference that same day. It felt like I was getting extra support. And even though I’m fairly new with sigils, I could tell my sigil ritual ceremony definitely had more energy supporting it. This was my first time using an ink & stain and I think I found another favorite materia.
This series is excellent for me because it lights a fire under my ass but there’s no hang over/ burnt feeling afterward! With other meta-martial materia, I need something to bring me down so I can actually rest and sleep. With this, that’s not quite as necessarily. One of my favorite S+ to date! Write a todo list in this ink and get it done.
I've been powering up with a Mars glipgh on my hand ever day with this gorgeous red ink. Probably more Mars juju than I need in my life given the other Mars materia I'm also using but it's BEAUTIFUL. 2nd favorite ink after TM ink. I have big plans for this ink and my new years petitions!
