The color is the natural result of the ingredients imbuing, left to gestate at the edge of the woods for two Lunar cycles, making for a ridiculously potent elixir, unparalleled for extreme magical protection, acts of counter-magic, and necessary, well-considered maleficia. Sours, darkens, and promotes acrid toxicity. I do not recommend application to one's person, or even in interior spaces.
