Organic jojoba oil imbued with organic and wildcrafted calamus root, white willow bark, rose hips, passionflower, arnica, damiana, marshmallow root, red clover, orris root, oatstraw, yarrow, raspberry, wild cherry, slippery elm, and more, consecrated during a remedial-grade Venus in Taurus election.
Scented with sandalwood and rose absolute, tangerine, and myrrh.

When I bought this, my goal was some relaxation and indulgence for myself. One of the things I wanted to work on were body image and self-love issues. (Getting older and having a kid WILL transform your relationship with your body! Who knew.)
That's an ongoing project, but some results have been IMMEDIATE.
This salve brings such calm to the people around me. I've been wearing it every time I've had to do something social that I was dreading, because it involves someone who's going to take delight in needling me, being contrarian—you know the type. But Venus operating out of her night house just—chills them out. Shuts it down. Reorients social time around all of us enjoying being with each other.
And that, in turn, brings calm to ME. It sets off an upward spiral of everyone being nice, having a better time, and relaxing, and then having a better time, and relaxing more.
Do you have an awkward work function? A family gathering that you know is going to be tense? A first date? You want this. Venus is on your side.
Such a great smell, like a lot of Venus materia from S+S. Warning: this is not the materia for when you want to feel motivated (and that might be its most revolutionary and beneficial quality, in a culture obsessed with "productivity"). Rather, it aids in embracing pleasure that has a sort of timeless quality.
As someone with a pretty harsh natal Venus, this salve is so good for letting go and enjoying the experience of being in my body, rather than judging it harshly. I use it before social outings to turn down the volume on my inner monologue so that I can be present and open with others.
I love errything about this salve! The smell is divine and with someone with a less than stellar Venus placement, I find comfort in this particular product and carry it with me sometimes because even a whiff will ground me. Yesterday was Friday, so I showered with the soap, slapped some of this on and headed downtown to see an arty film with a friend followed by an exhibit at MoMa and passionfruit cocktails afterwards. It was the day before my bday and on the subway I used a bit to calm my chapped lips. On the way home, I talked to a stranger on the bus and didn’t verbally assault him when he asked if I was single. That alone was an absolute miracle!
This is my favourite Venus salve!! For some reason I almost passed over it but it turns out it's so nice and really relaxes me like nothing else. Amazing for sleep in particular which is surprising but makes sense because it makes falling asleep itself a pleasurable thing.
This salve is so so good. The scent in particular to me is very sensual and lovely. When I put it on, my whole body relaxes. It's also deeply grounding. I love using this particular salve before uhh...engaging in the delights of the flesh 😉 And it is absolutely chef's kiss for this! But it is also wonderful for going to a get together or spending time with friends. Any time you want to slip into your most Venusian self, this salve will take you there.
This salve is like taking a walk in a rose garden. Mostly physically, but also mentally relaxing. The body relaxes and the mind follows. The scent is very rosey, but very sophisticated, and not overpowering. Don’t expect to get much done, but enjoy that much more. What is the point of life and flesh, if not to enjoy every small moment, she seems to say. It is pure delight.
Whew this salve! This one is a huge winner. The scent is mild and lovely, a very different from the body butter imo. I LOVE the new containers and while at first I had a hard time getting the lid off now the lid goes on and off without issue. I find this salve is deeply embodying and grounding, very very very delightful for after work or any time you need some self care. It's extremely moisturizing and a little goes a long way! Truly love this one.
My package of Venus' Earthly Delights arrived on a Thursday, and I had planned to delay my gratification (natal Venus in a Saturn-ruled sign, hello) and shower the following day/Venus's Day, but was sorely physically, mentally, and spiritually in need of cleansing after an intense anxiety-filled day. After a much needed, healing shower, I put a bit of this on and I just Knew that I would be okay. I knew that all of the shit of the past week could (and did) just melt away in this moment... I could enjoy the pistachio ice cream paleta I had saved for (weeks! Saturn-ruled Venus again lol) a hard day, the feeling of my naked, perfumed, cleansed and moisturized body on my bed, surrounded by fresh laundry I couldn't be bothered to put away. Venus attunement is soul healing. I knew I'd reach for this over and over again. Thank you S+S for helping balm the love wounds within me. I will cherish this materia forever
The few core items of the series I've tried are rose aligned in scent, if you're sensitive to rose you may want to be mindful of that. The salve does facilitate relaxation and a light heartedness (I found things amusing that would normally be a bit irritating to me), definitely not as much of an aphrodisiac effect as Empress. I find the scent of the salve doesn't linger as long as the body butter.
Smells SEXY. Feeeeeeels sexy. Wants to be rubbed in for long periods of time, encouraging me to really stop and savor the self-massage. Upon use, friendships (particularly with the femmes in my life) have strengthened and comfort around others has grown (Taurus is my 11th house so this might differ for others). Feel relaxed and present in my body. Went to the park for the first time in weeks after application because the desire to be in nature was strong. Definitely a lazy influence, wouldn't recommend it before work or on a day you need to get shit done. Perfect for socializing, winding down, feeling yourself. A little goes a long way.
incredibly luxurious and soothing. i've been rubbing this into the soles of my feet before bed and i feel blissful and floaty as i relax into rest. i tend to run hot in terms of mental spinning and this salve really takes the edge off of a mercurial mind! it's also a magnet for both of my cats — they always find me for snuggles very soon after application 🙂
That body butter is out of control. It’s soft, luxurious, and smells like heaven. It turns moisturizing into an indulgent act of self-love.
