Downstairs, a skilled fitter works expertly. His talent is restoring my home after calamity. And me with it. While he does, soundtracked by Rod Stewart - a singer and performer with Jove's swagger - I hear snippets of an ongoing conversation with his young apprentice. Encouraging, supportive, paternal as well as professional.
Jupiter is in this house as his candle burns. Creating a fresh aesthetic, greater security, a desire to welcome visitors again. In its flame this hour of Venus are six drops of Asclepius kolonia, for women in my life affected by wrong maleness. That's part of my history too, and was core to the loss of my brother thanks to the man of our house. A brighter future beckons.
I have mainly been using this candle for third party healing magic on a loved one who has a debilitated Jupiter, but also love the way it raises the vibe in my space when burning it. This whole series is so excellent for giving me the drive to take care of myself and of every area of my life, but especially my home and family life. I'm in the middle of moving and having this candle has been really energizing for the whole process of settling in and organizing.
My main use for this candle is meditation. It's great for diving deep into the subconscious. I feel like the candle is holding space for me to do the necessary work I need to do. I love the deep gorgeous purple.
I bought this candle for an extended Jupiter remediation/attunement working. As an ambient influence, it's amazing for keeping me mindful of the wealth I already have and how I can use it to help others. I'm hoping it will also draw more good things my way.
While meditating in the glow of this candle, I feel a similar interconnection and nonlinearity of time that I did while walking among the redwood titans on a trip in Northern California a few years ago. To at once feel transcendent magnificence and solemnity.
Native American people consider the redwoods to be great beings. And if you have walked on a path next to one, this observation sinks in.
Because there was, and is, a time when we didn't seek to extract from everything and everyone in order to serve banality and domination. There was, and is, another way--another truth that inspires awe. That is ethereal. That is sublime.
This candle helps me touch that truth. I am grateful it has come to shine in this world with me.
