I am trying to embrace bitter tastes as being good for me, and this has become a favourite. Maybe have a second beverage nearby tho. ; )
Steep as lightly as possible - for under a minute! - and let the bitter principles of this materia get your fluids moving.
A wonderful drink to aid you in giving performances, presentations, and lectures. Results are not as dramatic and obvious as the salve, but the steep and smokes are meant to be more quotidian forms of the magic.
ok so this tea is a bitter one, when I make it as tea I like to mix 1/3 Regulus to 2/3 hojicha tea. However! When I smoke it, I think it tastes great. In fact, I think I'll have some right now. I taste honey notes... mostly quite earthy and spicy. Touching the herbal mix it's a nice, soft texture too. Effects: feeling like I was just laying in the sun, going back to sleep easily, aphrodisiac, calming the heck down when anxious. Feeling like it'll be alright.
So this works. And it tastes awful. It elevates and uplifts your spirit, banishes melancholy and perfect to drink before social gatherings and meetings!
I received this when S+S ran a promotion, it's not something I would have thought to buy myself (though I have other Regulus materia!). I've been feeling quite down due to world events, and finally after having this steep & smoke for months and months, decided to brew some. It IS bitter. I tried a suggestion of using it as a base for soup, but I ended up not liking that as imo it just made the whole soup bitter. The best I could do is to brew this up with a short steep and adding honey. That said, it does what others have said - made me feel better. Less doom and gloom. And if everything keeps going the way it's going, I'll likely be brewing this up regularly.
So I actually like the bitterness of this tea! It tastes medicinal and reminds me of some TCM teas my aunts and uncles would consume. When I do drink it, I feel like my solar plexus becomes more tone. It’s grounding and uplifting, perfect for days when I need to approach a project with a different set of eyes. Additionally, I like to use this as a hair wash. So this is perfect after I made too much tea and I don’t intend to drink anymore. I just add a bit more water and dowse it on my head after I’m done rinsing off the conditioner. I’ve also added this to my hair oils for some further Regulus fortification.
I drink this almost every Friday and Sunday and throughout the week as needed. I think it tastes horrible, but it makes me feel so good, I drink it anyway. I've mixed it with blueberries blended with heavy cream, and then it tastes alright. Sometimes I make a full cup and sometimes I make a half cup. I make it as strong as my body wants while I'm pinching it into its drinking vessel. I've been in the depths of despair, melancholy, frustrated, self-hating, you name it, and after half to a full cup of this, I'm like whatever, I'm good. It doesn't have, I got this vibes, moreso, It'll all be alright. Sometimes I'll put a pinch of it with Exhalted Luna, and that's a recipe for a great day and/or evening. I reach for this whenever I want or need a pick-me-up, doesn't matter the time of day. Outstanding, and I'll be getting more.
Yes, as many others have mentioned, this is quite bitter. I made an infused honey with it, and taking inspiration from another reviewer, use this to sweeten a very strong mint tea. I like bitter tastes, so the combo is delicious. Helps shift melancholy and feeds my inner light.
I got this specifically to use in making chicken stock for the winter time when Sol is hard to access but we most need a kick of light and warmth. I haven't used it for that purpose, yet, but as a steep it is just pure, unadulterated confidence and joy in a cup. Yes, it's a bit bitter, but a squeeze of lemon and a spoonful of honey makes it taste almost like a citrus-y aperitivo. Love everything Regulus, and this is no exception!
I received the Regulus Steep and Smoke as part of a promotional offer and am so grateful because it's a series I might not have tried otherwise. When I make tea I usually let it steep for a while and that is definitely not a good idea with this blend. It is incredibly bitter even with a very short steep time. Because the bitter flavor is not something I could get past it has inspired me to use it in other ways. While I have not smoked in years I gave this a try and found it to be quite enjoyable. I brewed my own tincture with it that while still bitter, is more palatable than drinking the tea. I also added it to some dandelion flower infused oil that I use to make my own salve because it seemed like such a good combination. I have found the effects to be subtle but so enjoyable. Gives me such a positive and optimistic outlook. Inspires confidence and makes me feel self assured.
I have been doing a lot of layering with Regulus materia (spell soap, water, slave, lotion). I used the steep and smoke to create a tincture (when it was out of stock). I have also drank it as a tea on a few occasions but prefer to ingest in a tincture form as the taste is quite bitter.
I have been working with Regulus on the regular for a while now. Regulus is also present in my star parans chart so I do feel especially connected.
I struggle with stage fright when it comes to performance art and ever since building a relationship with Regulus, I've been able to lean in more easily to taking up space and being in the spotlight whether it is singing in front of others or for more mundane daily tasks. I'm at a particular place in my life right now where a lot of goals and callings are requiring me to put myself out there more and take up space and spotlight. As someone who has been conditioned to be quiet and humble, Regulus has been wonderful to work with supporting in grounded confidence and respect.

Water of Asclepius I
Asclepius I, Sold Out, Sprays + Hydrosols, WatersAs further detailed in the series description, cypress, sage, and incense cedar were blessed using the words of Thessalos, given to him in dream by Asclepius, and harvested on the Summer Solstice in the hour of Jupiter. These, along with rose of jericho, were combined in a copper still and immersed in water freshly collected from the headwaters of the Sacramento River in Mt. Shasta. A hydrosol was produced, which was later combined with essential oils of frankincense and rosemary, carnelian, and grain alcohol during the Ras Alhague election, where the water was dedicated to Asclepius and received his blessing.
One of the beautiful qualities of this formulation is that upon vigorous shaking, it turns white — a color associated with healing and purity in many magical traditions.
Sphere + Sundry is pleased with all of the offerings we produce, but the Water of Asclepius in particular is truly something special. For a thorough application, shake well and use as a body and aura spray, making sure to focus around the head, but also applying directly to the chest, palms, and feet.
You will feel instant clarity and refreshment, and it will continue helping clear your field, heart, and mind over the next many hours. Apply before bed to invite healing sleep and potential dream visitations from gods and spirits. Spray in spaces in need of healing, purification, and renewal, especially that carry a negative charge or presence you wish to dispel. Produces emotional, mental, and physical clarity that deepens with continued use. As a regular practice, consider full body applications after showering.
A new edition of the Asclepius series was released on March 21st. Remaining offerings from Asclepius I are available at a discount while supplies last.
Available in a half ounce spray for $26 $19 or a two ounce spray for $52 $39.

[pullquote]I’m starting to notice some effects from the staffs on myself. I’ve been getting up way earlier than usual with a lot of energy. Also some inflammation I’ve had for months started to disappear.[/pullquote]

R3 S&S is the one S&S that I can’t drink. It’s too bitter a taste for me. That said, its great to create a wash from if you want to bring some sparkly solar-like energy to your home.
I use steep + smokes paired with mother Mary Jane mostly so my review is based on that experience. Regulus III has a bright, spicy flavor that I really enjoy. It’s one of my favorites in terms of texture and consistency- it has a smooth + even burn. I’ve also had some personally powerful experiences with the magic. Finding and truly seeing my personal power and gifts, it’s a very bright and cheerful energy and truly does get rid of sadness like the write up states. 10/10 would recommend!!
This was my first purchase of a steep + smoke, and I’ve should’ve come to them earlier…on occasional Sundays, I steep Regulus tea to add to floor washes; after using, my space feels warmer and brighter. I feel lighter, energized, invigorated, and creative. I think I’ll be leaning even more heavily into this during the Northern hemisphere winter – an essential tool for the gloomier months ahead.
I have resisted the smoke and steeps for awhile, but for some reason this one called to me. Wow – upon first smoke – it was a lovely boost of joy! There is something to bright, expanding, kind, generous, boisterous about the Regulus 3 series that I find hard to explain. It’s been lovely as an offering for Sol, lite. My own sun is in detriment, and this Regulus series has been such a gentle gesture towards experiencing that light.
I like filling a big basin of hot water and steeping a bit of this as an offering, feels like a lovely way to honor connections with ancestors and guardians of the land. The taste varies from day to day, sometimes deeply and invigoratingly bitter, adding a bit of honey rounds it out beautifully and sometimes much lighter depending on amount used in proportion to water and steep time. I love it! Gentle lights in water form. Haven’t smoked it yet, but will as an offering shared with spirit.
