I’ve been using this to tap into and reexperience the care that I previously have at the hands of people who typically embody the ‘carer’ archetype in my life, even though they are faraway from me now. This has made it much easier to deal with being sick faraway from these people, and having to deal with it more independently than before. It is also an easy vessel to pray through when asking for recovery and aid in being able to bear the recovery process itself. It smells so lovely and calming, like lavender mixed in with the eucalyptus oil ointments/smelling oils used in my home country.
When the world is insane, Gentle, Bless’d Hygeia holds space for us. This is an oil for her reaching down, to hug you, to hold your hand. The gentle pat on your back that says “You can do it.”
She teaches you and those you need to take care of your brain. Where to fix, rest, and rebuild. This is a scent I feel also helps you show others where they may do the same.
With the Coronavirus activity going on, and being that my life is on the road and therefore involves a lot of travel, I have started to use this oil daily. While it of course is no replacement for all the other precautions, I do find that it feels like a layer of protection is added to my energetic field. I also find that it adds a layer of mindfulness, reminding me to be more cautious when interacting with others. The smell is also quite nice, not overpowering yet floral enough to be present and noticed.
I used this in conjunction with Skill’d to Heal Mankind. This one smells mostly like lavender, which is a soothing scent. I asked for Hygeia to provide us with the mental fortitude needed to support our loved ones as they go through a pretty scary surgery.
I ended up lighting a candle anointed with this and Skill’d. The first time was very focused. The second time wasn’t quite as focused. So post-surgery, which went well, there was a long conversation of some unfinished emotional business. And it was heavy, and it was alot, but you can’t fix things unless you know it’s a problem.
TLDR: Use both or either if you want to work on mental health and/or you already are, and really want to get some work done on that front.
Or you know, get healing you didn’t need know you needed.
From the Asclepius II release, this was the item I most looked forward to receiving. It reads as a gentle, healing offering and that is exactly my experience with it. I’ve paired this one with a Self-Love oil from a local shop as well as Heart of the Lion as a morning ritual, in an attempt to bring about the courage to be kinder to myself. Using it in this way over the past month, I definitely feel like the clouds are lifting and I will soon be ready to return to myself. The lavender of the blend is front and center when you open the bottle and in the initial wet stage, but it dissipates in the dry down leaving a sweet resinous scent you can really feel grounded in. The imagery I get is a crashing wave of lavender, revealing pure, true earth.
