Honey-Clay Mask

I loved the previous honey mask, but this iteration is even better. It feels great on my skin and leaves it luminous and soft. I did struggle with the dispenser; it's hard to squeeze such a thick substance through the fairly small hole. Deliberately squeezing from the end and rolling the tube up a bit helped make that a bit easier.

I treasure this wonderful smelling face mask. I use it together with the pearl polish before special occasions and it makes me absolutely glow. One of my favorite beauty products.

This is a really lovely mask. I've used both of the previous S+S masks the formula was based on/combining, and it does combine the best of each. The lovely smells and radiance of the Venus mask, the deep but non-invasive cleansing of the Hygeia mask.

The container is adorable - reminds me of those jelly purses that were popular in the mid-2000s, which I realize are dated now but I totally loved - but for such a thick mask, the squeeze-hole doesn't work suuuper well, especially if you're stumbling about with wet hands. But I've found that just unscrewing the lid and squeezing that way works perfectly fine while maintaining the sanitary and safe storage qualities of a squeeze container, so not a complaint, just a suggestion to other customers to pop the lid off if you're struggling.

This mask was a little difficult to get out and apply, but once I was massaging it into my skin, it was much easier. The scent is herbal, lovely without being particularly appealing--it's a more medicinal kind of pleasant than perfume would be, if that makes sense, a sort of side effect to ingredients you know are good for you, and how fitting for Aesclepius' purgative clay. I exfoliated with the pearl polish first, which was its own delight, and then put this on. After 15 minutes of sticky (it is very, very definitely honey! You can tell it's real honey!) I washed it off, and was delighted by how fresh and toned my skin felt. Applying my snail mucin essence after washing this off felt so, so hydrating, more than usual, and I feel gorgeous. I'll have to do what the other reviewer suggests and massage it off with wet fingers instead of washing it off directly next time. That sounds fantastic.

This was an absolute delight! It left my skin clean and smooth, yet very soft and dewy. It is no wonder the effect it had considering the union of influences this mask is composed of: Asclepious III, Asclepious II's Hygieia and even Venus in Libra! If you are new to honey masks, don't be put off by honey's stickiness, just do as advised and pat your skin. To remove it I gently massaged my skin with very wet fingers. The water combined with the mask turned it into a lotion which let the marvelous ingredients of the mask slip over the skin releasing even more of the subtle clean and refreshing scent of its healing and beautifying ingredients (not perfume!). I admit to massaging my skin gently for a short while once the mask turned all slippy--it was just soooo nice.

The silicone bottle was a nice touch too. It makes dispensing very convenient and will be great for travel (when that day comes again).
