Oil of Asclepius I

Asclepius is my go-to for facilitating healing and recovery, whether it’s as small as an upset stomach or as serious as an injury that requires physical therapy. It’s soothing properties make it very effective for anything inflammatory. I’ve decanted a small vial for a friend, who has even used it for journaling and has said it helps her process emotional wounds, too.

Beautifully yin, Asclepsius is soothing immediately. I have vision issues and this reduces the symptoms immediately, and used consistently over a longer period I can see that it would reduce the symptoms long term - I'm going through this process now.

I started applying this oil to my chest and sinuses when I felt my inevitable jet lag head cold coming on. (Happens every. single. time I fly from Europe to the US. But only in that direction. Maddening.) While it didn’t totally stop me from getting sick, this time it was of much, much less intensity and duration than usual - and I totally avoided the asthma flareup that can have me coughing for weeks even after the cold has passed. Was it Asclepius? Was it just good luck? Can’t say for sure, but I’m never traveling without this stuff again.

I'm almost out of this one, but it's been a very nice election of Asclepius that feels just a touch more grounded and straightforward than others- give it the job, it goes for it. And if there's no direct healing being done, something else has happened to open the road towards healing, like getting a new method of treatment or doctor recommended. I also felt it really helped with getting a relative out of the hospital with regularly anointing of a photo of them.

My friend's baby ended up being admitted to the hospital. The doctors couldn't figure out what's wrong with her and what was causing her symptoms. I carved her name on a candle that I anointed with Asclepius oil and said the invocation to both Apollo and Asclepius during a Sun hour. I asked Asclepius to help the doctors figure out what's going out and for the baby to get better. The baby was discharged the next day after getting better and now her pediatrician diagnosed her and will put her on medication that'll hopefully take care of the problem. I'm so grateful.

Reading the writeup just now, I know I’ve barely scratched the surface of how I can work with Asclepius. The “treatment plan” according to planetary or TCM hours is something I want to try.
Mostly, I’ve used this oil to remotely assist others, anointing photographs and candles, and saying prayers and devotions. I only feel I should have done it even more. I have done this for my father, and both received experiences of helpful people in the hospital, and seen subtle but gamechanging shifts in symptoms that hadn’t moved for months (probably Long Covid and you know how strange and intractable these symptoms can be).
I can only say - to myself and others - USE IT. Do the prayers, do the devotions, do anything to take this materia off your shelf and into your hands, being worked with.

I use this for horrible chronic headaches and jaw pain and for better sleep and works like a charm. Honestly, if my house were burning in a fire, this would be one of the processions I’d grab!

I absolutely love my Asclepius Oil - it only takes a few drops to help engage the healing process and clearing stagnation. I find it very balancing to other materia. I love having it on hand.

I’ve used this oil three distinct times with intention vs passive use and in each instance (twice for my own ailments and once for a family member) I’ve found that it doesn’t immediately alleviate the pain/illness - it seems like it needs to run its course thoroughly - but the healing process is incredibly fast. Like, complete recovery as if nothing ever happened, no lingering side effects type of fast. Surprising to medical professionals type of fast. So, so thankful.

This oil is powerful with a soft touch. I've noticed it brings me deeper into a physical sense of my body when I use it. Its now my go to when I went to feel deeply into my form. Love the healing energy.
