Exalted Sol Talismanic Perfumes
There was a great Sun in Aries election on the day of the 2021 Aries ingress…
We had originally planned to create a full new series, but since we already had so much Exalted Sol on hand, last minute I pivoted to just making Kolonías + etching talismans for personal use instead (never get to do that anymore!).
Elizabeth Barrial of Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and Twilight Alchemy Lab chose to still work the election, so the fruits of those labors are riding alongside our Regulus III release as a Yuletide gift from BPAL to us all!
There are 7(!) talismanic perfumes to choose from…
This subseries of condition oils were crafted and blessed under the auspices of Exalted Sol in order to amplify and direct their power. They are fiery and vibrant interpretations of the concepts that they embody, vigorous, bold, and dynamic.
EXALTED SOL: CONFIDENCE – Sold out!
This is an oil that gilds one’s outlook with all the assurance and conviction of a yellow star in its prime, banishing shadows of doubt. This oil assists in affirming faith in oneself and one’s place in the cosmos.

This perfume is perfect for protecting oneself in the therapy context as a counselor. I keep a bit of this in a sprapy that I'll use before seeing particular clients (using it almost like an energetic barrier) for grounding and after crisis interventions to reinforce a feeling of safety. It definitely helps repell any of the inky darkness that can sometimes accumulate when working in this field. The scent is earthy and resinous with a hint of floral and while it lingers close to the skin, it doesn't overpower.
I'm lucky enough to have four of these, and looking forward to one or two more if I can. I work well with solar materia, and these perfumes have had the greatest effect on me alongside Golden Titan honey. They all also smell really good.
Fearlessness removes the acid pit from my stomach, and lets me exists without, well, fear.
Confidence back that up with giving me permission to really express myself, with a dash of congeniality on top.
Splendent Joy makes me feel like I'm at an easter egg hunt on a pleasant spring day, making every situation lighter and easier to enjoy.
Incandescent Wealth has been my little hidden treasure, used only when I'm really trying to make substantial financial changes. It smells like a bag of coins (in the best way!).
I use this every morning before work.
The smell is bright, warm, and grounding. When I wear this, I feel insulated, brave, and confident in my capabilities. There was a period when I would wear this at work, everyday, during some difficult projects and found myself at the good graces of my bosses and executives.
Fearlessness isn't one I've used a LOT because the smell is a little bit not spicy enough for me (I like purely essential oil / herby spicy smelling things) and it's a little bit like 90s witch store but all that said, it's of course very powerful.
I'd say if you have solar placements that you don't want to activate, maybe don't be like me
this is the first product to give me a headache. It smells so lovely, reminds me of a mentor, but it's superduper warm. I've never felt side effects from S+S, even though I love sun offerings and I'm a 12th house sun born in Bardo season!
I'm still giving it a 5 for it's sheer power. When I put it on suddenly the world around me went up 20% in volume and it wasn't overwhelming. It just needs some layering.
It feels like when you're feeling all down on yourself and ranting to a friend about your insecurities and they hit you with the "you're being really mean to my friend" and YOU'RE the friend, making it impossible to keep on hating on yourself.
Like someone shaking your shoulders and yelling in your face "stop being so negative, everything will be alright". "Go do the thing".
It's like if Jupiter were a person and they were an Aries.
A headache but I love it.
It is inherently warming and very strong smelling but dissipates fast in order to reveal a protective and sovereign demeanor. I have Fearlessness, Glory and Fame, and Protection. The intention you set beforehand should clue you in on which is best for the occasion. It feels slightly uncomfortable for a detriment sun person at first, but the warmth of the solar power slowly works its magic, and you somehow end up feeling giddy afterward. Highly Recommend!
Fearlessness had an immediate impact, making me untense my shoulders and feel less self-conscious. It has made me sometimes feel more emboldened to share unfiltered or bolder thoughts, though time and place need to come into consideration. This is maybe the first perfume of any series that I recommend tempering with something Mercurial or fomy to get a better feel of how to execute these heightened feelings.
I have Incandescent wealth as well, and have found that to give small wealth boosts in my life in unexpected ways. Can't wait to hopefully try Confidence and Good Health, this series has gone well with me so far!
The smell have been very surprising to me, very different from the other perfumes from the series I got to try : much more like a "classical perfume" (hard to describe), with a strong scent. But ! It has also arrived right on the moment I needed it a lot (I had a bike accident), and it truly helps when not in good shape, not in good health. Combined with Asclepius water & oil, Exalted Luna salve, and Capricorn II salve and kolonia, it's a perfect combo to sustain health, ease pain, protect and strengthen the body, feel better.
I have 4 of the Exalted Sol perfumes, and Splendent Joy is definitely my favorite scent : warm, comforting, yummy. A sort of a sweet loving caring facet of the Sun, that have the power to uplift you even when six feet under. It has been such a treasure and a life-saving item in times of anxiety and depression and despair. Trully brings splendent joy ! It might be one of my favorite items from the whole shop, and I'm so glad it exists, thank you.
The Confidence BPAL gave me exactly what I hoped - the feeling of being safe enough to feel comfortable, try things out and feel steady in myself. It's not a shy scent but really suits the purpose. It feels strong, comforting and reliable.
Extremely wearable, pure high quality essential oils. Lifts, illuminates and brightens. I just love using it especially on Sun-days
Somehow, this smells exactly like a fragrance a beloved (and protective) caretaker from my childhood used to wear..despite zero overlap with the ingredient lists.

I chose the Fearlessness Exalted Sol tailismanic perfume and it has been so lovely. The smell is so gently uplifting and gives a beautiful sense of inner safety and strength. I've used it with sunrise a few times applying a dab to my crown and heart and it has made greeting the morning so much more meaningful. As well my connections with men in my life have been enfused with a coziness and protective feeling that was more absent before. This is all really exciting to notice as I was admittedly a little skeptical and had been in a fear stuck place I didn't think would be lifted so easily. Thank you for this lovely gift of warmth
I acquired this golden treasure as both of the luminaries in my natal chart are afflicted by square to Saturn and 12th of bad spirit is Aries domain. This combination often results in not only low energy levels, but continuous mental health challenges AND energetic parasites/dark shadows trying to attach themselves. This liquid sunshine does wonders to lift up my spirits and energise me as well as disperse any unwelcome presence. Would definitely recommend, especially to anoint forehead and top of the head to create a luminous crown of protection to anyone with similar struggles.
It took me a few applications to warm up to the smell of Fearlessness, but I came to see how the richness of it befits its effects. It is one of my go-tos for situations where I know I might be prone to social anxiety; it removes some of the constant second-guessing that goes into that, and allows the true self to shine through.
This perfume has been hard for me to use as an 8th house sun, there's something intimidating about it for me. That said, when I have worn it out I felt like I could take up more space.
Recently I’ve begun a difficult, and, at times, frightening medical process for which the duration and outcome is uncertain. Fearlessness has lightened the emotional burden considerably since I’ve begun regular application, and I’m so grateful for such powerful spiritual support.
This is a lovely sweet bubble gum scented BPAL that does indeed boost my confidence because it makes me feel like I'm in a Pink Barbie Dream House. So delicious.
I have a Exalted Sun myself, but in a hard aspect with Saturn (plus I'm a very anxious person), so this BPAL and serie is really uplifting for me. I don't have it for so long, so I'll see what are the full effects after a longer time, but I can already tell that I get along just fine with it, and it was a very much needed product to have. It helps embrace the Sun and its visibility much more, without being too self-conscious, without fearing being more radiant.
I have an Exalted Sun too, and I'm really glad I could have some items from this serie since all of them are mostly sold out by now. The Protection BPAL is the one of the two I got that I used the most since the few months I purchased them. It has helped me a lot, especially when I was not at home (and it doesn't happen often), to feel protected from the feeling of "too much people all of a sudden". It helps me feel more grounded, less fatigued. It also helps when I feel drained, when I have headaches (I feared it could triggered them, but it helps). I wonder if it has also helped with the heat when I faced it for the first time after really long months of autumn-like weather, and with the meh-moodiness that comes from greyish seasons. I also really like the smell !
The scent is warm and comforting, but starts off with bright citrus notes. Once the crisp top notes wear down, it’s an ideal for evening or cooler weather. Not quite light a for a really hot day. Lasting fragrance keeps you warm and cozy with a smile on your face. Smells super yummy, good for appetite suppression because it feels like you just ate a honey soaked citrus ginger cookie on a cold day…but it could make you hungry for cookies lol I guess it just depends! 🌞
This BPAL is so bright and sunny and smells so delicious. It's light and happy and each day I wear it I come home and without remembering I put the bpal on, I think back about what a happy, joyous day I've had. 10/10 recommend this bpal to brighten up your day or help through a sad time.
applying this on a slow Friday at work was an awesome decision. I felt brave and self-focused, did some drawing in my sketchbook and started a logo for a small music label I've been dreaming up. This flowed and went so easily. I even felt euphoric. Maybe not the best choice for every work day, but amazing for when you have some space to focus on your dreams and making confident progress on them.
Hi. The stuff I received is fine, but the BPAL vial was empty. Would love to use it, as I use their oils daily. Disappointed, sorry.
The oil this review is for is Glory and Fame. Helps you to shine. Makes you feel bright and warms the soul. I thought of “radiant” before reading the description when writing this. Makes sense! Talismanic perfumes always smell wonderful, which is a welcome boon. I love it!
Wearing this scent always brings me to an easy going childlike place where I come in with appetite from the winter cold after playing for hours, and my yiayia (grandmother) and a few theas (aunties) encircle the kitchen table as they masterfully pour honeyed syrup over “melomakarona” cookies. The kitchen and the whole house smells warm and bright, rich with orange peels, warm spices, honey, walnuts. Yiayia says I can try one of the broken ones, saving the best ones for xmas gift plates for extended family and friends. The morsel fills my insides like the warmest, brightest swirl of endless love, care and joy, as yiayia watches on in vicarious delight and pride. If you have a Greek bakery in your city, try one of these cookies (usually offered at Xmas time) and you might find it’s Splendent Joy.
Exalted Sol catches up to me - I find myself filled with heat, speaking my mind and doing things I'm afraid to do. It can be overwhelming.
I didn't realize I needed solar remediation when I grabbed a couple BPALs but when these didn't immediately vibe with me I started looking into it a bit and found suggestions not to use this on your person for that purpose. So since then I've been using it to anoint candles and might use it in a diffuser if I get one, and while it doesn't give any noticeable favorable effects like some other materia, I'm hoping that it will help my Sun slowly over time.
I have scent-sitivites and have a rocky relationship with most BPALs as a result. Thanks to a fellow sovreign, I was able to sample several ES BPALs before taking the plunge on Splendent Joy and I am SO GLAD I did!! The scent is warm, uplifting, slightly spicy and slightly citrusy, but overall just incredibly wearable and like having an energetic life vest on you at all times. I wear when I need to stay on my own side and not sweat the small stuff - life is too short for that and SJ reminds me of that like no other. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to just about anyone (even someone with a rougher 6th-house sun like me).
