The honey feels more like medicine for the psyche, carries calming and self-accepting energy, sweetening the feelings and helping to release what could not be change.

I’m a long term practitioner of ancestor veneration, but not of any born or initiated lineage. It’s just something I do. My only previous experience with sweetening was a sugar jar spell, but it wasn’t a success (probably because I didn’t continue working it) so I wasn’t very confident in sweetening work.

It helps your ancestors heal and that goes so far in building a strong foundation in your life and spiritual practices and in healing your living family and frankly, the world.

A final note: I made the honey jar without ceremony, just as you would do with standard conjure work, but for the first time in a conjure working I slid into ritual headspace. I had already been attuning myself with the tincture, but this was the first work I’ve used S+S in and the power was phenomenal. The trance was as intense as what I experience in long ceremonial workings. Talismanic indeed!

A very special honey! I had to 'honey pot' myself toward a situation that required intense emotional support that I didn't think I had to give. With this lovely electuary, I discovered resources of compassion I could not previously access. The heart-softening aspects of this magic were (*are* lol) the medicine I needed and it has been a blessing to be able to offer them to a difficult situation.
