Mars in Scorpio Attuning Tincture

I love this tincture so much, really looking forward to another Mars in Scorpio series. When I was a coffee drinker, I would add a few drops in my coffee and it gave me insane focus and attention to detail. I liked this a bit too much, I used it a lot when I was weight training quite heavily. Years later the gains made from this time period have sustained themselves despite not being the most consistent since then

I am Scorpio rising so was wondering how this Mars will affect myself. From transits, I learned that Mars in Scorpio feels powerful but could also bring forward my worth tendencies (like obsession with a task or idea on the cost of everything else). I did not risk to take the tincture internally and started with skin application, however, I did a mistake to apply it on the lower part of my belly closer to the scorpio parts. That was a huge mistake as I learned. I felt quickly it hits me in very particular way - like I would look at any object and see there some sexual context. First I thought it will pass but I got stuck on it. Trying to refocus on work did not help much and it took me a while to get back to normal. I thought this is how sex obsession feel like. I still use this tincture on Mars days for anointing objects and it works great for devotional purposes. Lesson learned.

I use this as a primer for exercising, very useful in my Mars year.

This combined with the Mercury in Cazimi series has been my go to for kick ass, get shit done levels of focus and motivation.

At first I was a little trepidations about venturing into the realm of malefic materia. But having a night chart and reasonable placed Mars in the chart (Virgo). I took the plunge as it were.

That said, I've experienced nearly zero negative side-effects ( I have had a head aches after pro-longed use with Mercury series on rare occasion). I think just anyone looking for a little extra boost in motivation, energy and libido could benefit from this series.

My partner noted a serious uptick in the amount and quality of ~intimate time~ we shared as I began to use this series regularly. Absent of any Venus effects, this tincture promoted a near-constant lust for my lover and increased my stamina for such activities--and not in a desperate, teenager-y kind of way. I didn't notice the difference until my partner pointed it out because, well, I was simply *too focused* on my desire for them in the now moment to realize that the frequency of acting on such desire had changed.

Aside from the welcome change noted above, this series absolutely promotes obsessive behavior, which in my case has been extremely useful in forcing myself to adhere to certain routines: I literally woke up at 2am after being asleep for several hours last night because I forgot to do something I had promised myself I'd do before bed, and once I'd fulfilled the promise I was able to fall back asleep. Users beware, as you may curse/bless yourself into Not Being Able To Do Anything Else Until That One Thing You Told Yourself You'd Do Gets Done.

Last but not least, the magnetism here is...intense. If you're not looking for Venusian attraction and would simply like to draw people in based on pure intrigue and "who's that mysterious hottie who I simply MUST meet" vibes, this is the best. Put a drop or two in your favorite alcohol-based perfume or cologne and give yourself a spritz before heading out on the town and I promise you'll get lots of looks, if not phone numbers!

Mars Tincture is about embodying empowerment. I think the effects will vary depending on your natal Mars placement, but for me it also shows up in a very strategic action oriented way. I can see how over-reliance on Mars materia could lead to feeling unbalanced, but if you're struggling with inertia, or just need to get some juice to get up and GO DO THAT THING, Mars in Scorpio materia helps you harness that.

This tincture worked fantastically, bestowing a sense of empowerment, capability, and an energetic willingness to do the work. I would take just the smallest drop under the tongue either first thing in the morning or on the first mars hour of my day, depending on how the timing worked out. I felt like I'd found something really spectacular, that allowed me to step into a better version of myself.
Then, I started breaking out. I didn't make the connection at first, thinking I was eating something I oughtn't, or doing one of oh so many things than can cause my hypersensitive skin to react badly. But after awhile of careful elimination and investigation, it eventually occurred to me that the timing of the breakouts coincided with the first few weeks of using this tincture. I didn't want to believe it, but just to be sure, I stopped using it and what do you know: my skin calmed down soon after.
Note that my skin is very reactive to MANY things, especially things that can affect hormones (including chocolate, pineapple, dairy, sugar, caffeine...). So even the TINIEST bit of the hormone-regulating herbs in this tincture was enough to set me off. I believe that speaks to the incredible potency of this offering.
So it is with great regret that I will be relisting this item in the S+S marketplace, when I get around to it. I tried using it externally, but 1) the effects aren't quite as pronounced, and 2) I fear that the herbs will make their way into my bloodstream again, which could cause breakouts later. I don't know if this is scientifically possible, but my fear of breakouts is enough to render this strategy not worth it.
To basically everyone who isn't me: you will enjoy this tincture so much, and I envy you!

Since Mars ingressed into Libra, I have had a lot of irritability. I didn't really expect it, but Kelly Surtees often talks about Mars in air signs natally as well as in the sky bringing irritability and anxiousness—and as an airy Mars native, I've found this to be spot on! As a result, I was called by Ares & Hephaestus (with whom I also commune as a wonderful Martial Gawd) to engage with the MiS tincture (just a drop or two) when I feel this irritability most strongly as remediation. I've done this a number of times now and have found that the tincture really acts as a cooling agent against the airy detriment of Mars in Libra. It has made me feel so safe and able to think clearly. There seems to be an almost calming and negating force against that irritability. I'm so thankful to have been able to engage with it more during this transit <3

I bought the Mars in Scorpio tincture because I was drawn to it's description for tenacity and steadfastness. My natal Mars is in Libra, and I often have issues being as bold with people, especially in authority, as I would like. This magickal item, taken under the tongue (literally a drop will do) or anointed behind my ears and on my crown or throat, is incredibly emboldening, warming, and helps bolster my focus. I feel a Martian edge when using it, *especially* on Mars days and in Mars hours. That actually makes a huge difference, and is interesting to play with. Totally A+ recommend this material for those who know they have the power to use their own sword, but need encouragement in picking up the blade. Thank you Sphere+Sundry. <3
