30+ organic herbs of Mercurial nature, including ritually harvested palm frond and fern leaf during the day and hour of Mercury during its Virgoan tenure, fumigated with Frankincense during Sphere + Sundry’s Exalted Mercury election.
Lucky hand root and abre camino. Barley, wheat, and nutritional yeast. Ground with frankincense, agate, peridot, and high-grade opal. Lemon balm, rosemary, and even moar frankincense.
Burn as an offering and attunement during weekly Mercury devotions. Note that Sphere + Sundry’s Incense Powders are designed to be burned *without* charcoal, on beds of premium ash in a firesafe dish or plate. Pour ash, then pat or use a tool to create a relatively smooth surface. Pour the desired amount of Incense Powder into the palm of your non-dominant hand, and use the other to assemble a thin peaked mound, line, or sigil, pinch by pinch. These can be quite thin if desired. The neater and more ridged your shape is, the better it will burn! Light the top of the ridge to ignite.
Taking time to prepare Incense in this way can be a meditative and centering experience, and allows the practitioner to create custom burn times with zero waste. If your line ends up too long, simply use a knife to ‘cut’ the fresh powder away from the ignited portion to use later.

bc virgo is my twelfth house and the write up emphasizes the utilitarian nature of this materia, i truly did not expect the elegance and simple beauty of this incense. took my breath away, or rather, took my breath in. feels like being in the loft of a beautiful old library with sunlight streaming in. perhaps bc it is my 12th, or perhaps bc i use it so often during mercury retrogrades, the vibe is very still and contemplative. conducive to clarity in communication rather than chatter
Having my natal Mercury in Scorpio as well as my ASC and MH both in Earth Signs, this series blends quite well with my personal chart. I like to use the incense to fumigate the home office and myself before engaging with writing, studying or anything that requires focus and consistency. It blends quite well with Saturn in Capricorn for supporting work that requires creating a detailed structure – a plan, a schedule, an academic paper or a blueprint for a novel. Anything that is supposed to be “a skeleton” that serves to carry any type of project. It also blends well with Mars in Capricorn for being “locked-in” for hours at a time – deep learning or pulling of an all-nighter in the run up to the finish line. I think it could be potentially blended with Luna in Taurus for working on creating cosy spaces. If you lack inspiration for re-arranging your bedroom or interior design that has to do with accommodating practical needs and relaxation. Perhaps a nursery room or just rearranging your space so it can become more soothing to you.
I mostly use incense for offerings, except for some of the softer benefic ones for ritual cleansing baths, and this is no exception. I have a pretty afflicted Mercury, and this has absolutely improved my relationship to the fleet-footed one in tangible, ongoing ways. The earthiness of EM vs. Mercury in Gemini feels like I am building something permanent when I work with it, and I definitely recommend this for anyone with Mercury in a rough position in their chart who wants to get better at Mercury things.
Favorite item to clear mental fog and tiredness. Very potent with petitions, super quick turnaround with results.
Mercury is my time lord this year and I'm so thankful to have this product on deck as I navigate it all. I find the Exalted Mercury line to be like focus in a bottle. If there is a task that needs doing look no further than this series...Mars-Jupiter layers well here if you need focus *and* GO TIME JUICE but honestly I enjoy using this incense all on its own. Highly recommend!
I’m a writer. The Exalted Mercury series has been amazing. I’m getting my ideas on the page. I’m getting stories published. This incense helps me to set my space, turning my desk area or my patio into a place of creativity. This is brilliant!
This incense packs a punch. I most often use it for tackling through my to-do list or writing and it’s incredible for both especially if I’m feeling tired or just don’t feel like it. This series is energizing and enlivening. I do find that I tend to experience burnout after a while so I like to burn or spray something more relaxing later in the day because the lingering energy can add to the exhaustion. I don’t recommend burning it at night if you don’t intend to stay up late.

Ok I know I’m not the only person who has had a weird time trying to find GOOD incense that isn’t full of unnecessary artificial scents! All S+S incense is the real deal on top of being imbued magically with their elections. Incense isn’t my favorite form to work with but I received this one as a gift and I loved it so much I bought another from a different beloved series. It smells nice and works wonderfully for weekly devotions but I cannot stress enough that this kind of quality is rare. I didn’t initially reach for incense for that reason and now I’m hooked
This incense is truly fabulous. It has a crisp, energizing, slightly sharp aroma; as it wafts through my space, my ability to focus improves immensely, and I am able to actually get. shit. done. in a really satisfying way. Otherwise, umm, getting the aforementioned shit done is often quite difficult, considering my fibromyalgia + ADD + MDD + Crohn’s disease, etc. Consequently, this incense has turned out to be an empowering, effective, valuable tool for me— it’s such a treasure!
Love this series. Mercury is the ruler of my ascendant and my MC and my natal Mercury is exactly conjunct Pluto. This materia helps me a lot with task initiation/executive function, having energy, and getting things done.
I received this incense a few days ago with the intention to use it for my Wednesday Mercury prayers. I normally do prayers a night, but after seeing the write up, I thought it might be better to do it in the morning. The incense smells beautifully and lit well. I also felt the effects pretty immediately, but most dramatically on my morning commute. I was driving to work when a deer jumped out in front of me. I reacted much more quickly than normal and missed it by a hair. It literally felt like time slowed down. It was unbelievable and seemed like good old Hermes reaching in and giving me a hand.
