Herbs of a Solar and empowering nature were fumigated and combined following prayers and offerings during Sol’s day as it rose in its hour. This on a supreme Sun in Aries election, constellated around the creation of cousin series Luminous Crown and the Empress. Mars (the Sun’s ruler at the time) was fresh off its own degree of exaltation, as the Moon waxed conjunct the fixed star Aldebaran.
Ground to a fine powder with copious amounts of Hojari frankincense, a touch of dragon’s blood, saffron, garnet, red coral, and genuine 24k gold. Form a small peaked mound or trace a sigil on a bed of ash or fireproof surface before igniting.

I’m not sure what is in this that is so heavenly but I cannot stop huffing this butter and slathering on my hands and under my nose. It’s divine. And it immediately relaxes me and makes me feel like I’m floating on a cloud of cotton candy. With a necklace of roses, lily of the valley in my hair, and a cool Greek breeze gently kissing my skin while I’m in a temple, surrounded by the gods and goddesses. It’s delicious and magical. If you want to indulge this is your butter.
At first I was overwhelmed with this body butter because it somehow managed to exactly capture the smell of my grandmother. I would have never guessed that this was what she smelled like, as in, I couldn’t have asked for it specifically if I had had to seek it out on my own. It was delightful and overwhelming to come across it naturally. It took me a while to be able to really use this offering because of that. It brought me a lot of comfort but didn’t feel wearable at first. After a few weeks, it morphed into its own scent for me (or at least that’s what it felt like) and it’s been very wearable since then. It provided a great relief from grief at first, and now it just provides a great relief generally. I also wear it when I want to feel particularly attractive/beautiful and I do find that it amplifies my own sense of self in those moments. I love the smell and I definitely love the feeling of empowerment that comes with wearing it.
I LOVE this body butter soooooo much! I always come back to this one for something light, sweet, and supple. Each time I put it on, I feel weightless, carefree and ready for all things pleasant to float by me. Thank you Kaitlin for this materia! Its divine!
THE BEST! In the Client Forum not too long ago, a member asked what everyone’s “desert island” materia would be (ideally a single Form/ item from a specific series). My answer was that it would probably be this. Aphrodite is my Goddess, so obviously a Venus series is always going to be my favorite, and it’s hard to choose one particular thing from a series… but this body butter just feels special to me. I have to remind myself to stop reserving it (I don’t want it to ever disappear!) and that a little goes such a long way.
It’s difficult to explain why this is sooo gooood, but I think that’s part of the combined magic of talismanic body butter & the VAD election itself; there’s a wordless energy/ state that defies attempts at explanation, and perhaps that’s what one becomes enveloped in when donning this butter-talisman. It’s just something that needs to be experienced! Maybe the best way to describe it would be “sensual peace.” Feeling really good & relaxed at such a deep level. It’s amazing. That opens you up to infinite possibilities, truly.
Wow, the texture, the smell, the feeling. I want to melt into this stuff. The flecks of vanilla throughout are so lush. Definetely an airy energy to this but also a fun attraction. Like I feel so drawn to myself (and it) and giddy. It’s so fun to put on. To me it’s very vanilla smelling with some floral. It’s so so soft.
This has unexpectedly become one of my favorite S+S products! I’m not sure if it’s a slightly different formulation than the other BBs or my skin just happens to love it more (and full disclosure, I love the other series BBs too) but it melts perfectly into my skin without any sticky residue and a little truly goes a long way. And I’m also not someone who usually does well with jasmine scents, but this genuinely smells amazing both in the jar and on my skin. I have several Libra placements but also have a detrimented Venus and everything VAD has helped me feel harmoniously Venusian. I lucked out on a bulk pot of the Empress-scented oopsie version of this recently, but honestly love the jasmine one so much I might have to go in for another anyway!
Although VAD is not expressly meant to be used for professional purposes, I’ve been applying it as I start a new job that requires constant socialization and collaboration. (I have a lot of social anxiety nowadays, so I’ve been really nervous about this new job and working with more experienced colleagues.) It’s definitely made the initial introductions a lot easier, and I get a lot of compliments on my appearance, too. I make sure to apply just a small bit of body butter symmetrically and according to appropriate planetary hours & days for the most balanced effect. I deeply appreciate VAD in aiding me through what would otherwise be an anxiety-ridden social transition for me.

This may have the most divine scent in the entire Sphere + Sundry lineup. Just lifting the lid, I’m transported by cool, lush, petal-soft florals and warm vanilla bean. It feels like being stroked by a gentle white hand. I cannot apply it without my own touch becoming a reverie, digging my fingers into the column of my neck, feeling tensions melt from my shoulders. It brings a palpable urge for self-care.
after I unwrapped the VAD body butter, it smelled so good! <3 Buttery and frosted like icing. trying it on was a lovely experience. I put it on for a special occasion, and I was accosted by two guys who tried to hit on me and my friend ha before we told them we were spoken for. it was a lovely time overall and my bf’s friend’s gf said I smelled really good so that was a win! 🙂 it makes me feel soft and maybe more social than I am
My sister was visiting before going out with her friends, so I told her to put some VAD body butter on. She has never used S+ materia before, and knows nothing about magical materia, so I told her that I would be available in case she wanted to share how she felt. After sniffing the pot, she told me that she was remainded of tinkerbell, the sparkly fairy, and I thought to myself that that was so spot on, jaja.
Later she texted to ask me what was on the butter because everybody was looking at her as if she was Miss Universe! Hail Venus, Miss Universe indeed!
My body butter daily ritual… I place my oils – different ones for different days – on my heart chakra. After, I place this butter on the same place, then onto my wrists and my neck. This allows me to take the intention I’ve set (imbued w/ songs to the spheres) in my hrdayam outward to my organs of perceptions so as to move through the world in prayer. And, I smell like cookies!
This body butter has been such a lifesaver for me! First, it smells literally divine– the jasmine and vanilla transport you to another realm. But as someone with an anxious personality who tends to stay away from other people, this has softened me, brought laughter, and effectively lifts anxiety. Just a small amount does the trick! I unwind every evening with the help of this body butter, I am SO grateful to use this to learn what a strong, social, relaxed, effervescent Venus feels like!
I love this soothing, calming, beautiful body butter. It took me a little while to tune into this series, it’s my first foray into Venus and after about a month of using this butter & oil I found a wonderful connection. This butter, like the oil is immediately soothing for me, like finally exhaling and taking in a deep refreshing breath after holding in so much tension. I love it so much I actually gifted a body butter to my mom who also has anxious tendencies and she is enjoying it as well.
The butters are quickly becoming some of my favourite of the materia. This VAD butter smells wonderful. I’ve been leaning into Both Empress and VAD recently and notice a shift in my capacity to be present to self love and joy to a degree that hasn’t been here for many years.
I love this body butter! It is my favorite smelling body butter that I have tried so far. The scent is light and not overwhelming yet blissful, fresh, uplifting and relaxing at the same time. I love the effects that I get from it. It really helps ease anxiety and stress and helps me feel happy and light. I love to put this on after taking a shower following a long day at work. It instantly signals to my brain that it is time for enjoyment and peace.
This body butter makes me feel like a candy necklace. I love applying it as a heart-opener, which always seems to result in fun, flirty, and light-hearted conversations. Whereas the Empress makes me feel super sexy and helps me get in touch with my more sensuous side, Venus’ Aerial Delight makes me feel beautiful. graceful, and simply happy to be a body in our Laughter-Loving Queen’s image! 10/10. I will never stop singing the praises of this. An absolute sensorial delight, a white floral BOMB that just melts into the skin with the most effortless feather-light glide. Scent-wise, the ylang ylang and jasmine stand out the most to me, all warm nights and humid gardens—Bali in a bottle. Applying this is always a heady experience. To me, the Empress body butter (Venus in earth) is embodied sensuality, everything feels very real and decadent. This butter, however, leaves me more in my head, in the best way. Like a soft-focus daydream set on a floral cloud ☁️
