I didn’t understand something about this series. Maybe it works this way for everyone, but no matter when I apply it, the results only show up late in the evening, around 9 or 10 p.m., after nightfall. I read the explanatory text carefully and didn’t see anything mentioning that. I have Saturn in Aquarius myself, and I don’t know if that explains why. Even though I know Saturn represents slowness and things that take time to manifest.
Also, sometimes when I apply the oils from this series—not always, but sometimes—I can get knee pain, and I have to use a Venus oil to soothe the tension in my knee. I’ve noticed that I partially feel down when I layer two oils from this same Capricorn III series at the same time.
It’s an oil meant to bring order, so clearly, when I speak, I’m taken seriously. People focus on me, dedicate time to responding to me, and it’s as if I’m giving orders—and they simply respect them. It’s just that the results only come starting around 9 p.m.
I have the oil and it's amazing! Power in a bottle, it's stability, rooted... it feels like oak panelled rooms and leather covered wing-backed armchairs and, like most S+S products, it smells fantastic!
I'm not sure if it's just how The Sovereign’s Decree is interacting with my own placements, but I swear it feels like nine hours of sleep, the perfect amount of caffeine so I'm focused and not jittery, and being in perfect control of myself and my responsibilities. Not the brittle kind of control, the kind that can adapt and knows it can adapt. I wore it for an incredibly smooth and productive real estate transaction and it was amazing. YMMV of course but I found the experience of wearing the oil to be empowering in a way that felt emotional, not just material.
I always use this when I need to focus in on my work. It's such a leveling, gentle force that helps me keep my day on track. I try to be really rigid with my schedule so that I can accomplish what I need to, as a scatter brained person, I need a lot of help getting my creative work off the ground. I find this to be a super helpful force in that effort. It's comforting, grounding, and truly helps me focus.
I bought this for my husband because he was transitioning into a new role that involved a lot of delegating tasks and that kind of thing and the team would come to meetings "without their listening ears on," as one of my old elementary school teachers would say. So I gave him this Decree oil and told him to put it on before those meetings and he'd come downstairs afterwards saying how much it worked.
I think of Decree as Thema Mundi Jr because the manifestation is truly uncanny. Things from my dreams or random stream of thoughts would literally APPEAR. It’s gotten to where I only work with Decree when I’m sure I’m in a good head space and ready to engage with what’s happening internally.
You really do feel the effects of eloquence, speaking more clearly and precisely and people do tend to understand what you say more easily. What you say becomes to have a weight not in an intimidating way but more like with the right and precise words.
We used this at a small gathering this past weekend. The results were amazing as everyone was grounded, aligned, and contributed with authenticity and self-respecting vulnerability. This materia potentiates a meeting of sovereign equals.
I wrote in a separate review that the main series feels like "responsibility" to me, and the Decree subset does too, in a different way. I have used this on its own and also layered with the other Cap3 oils. I feel very aware of what I say when using this oil, in a weightier way than when I use straight Mercury materia. My favorite way to use this is on my throat and lips before speaking prayers or devotionals. I have not yet anointed candle workings with this oil, but I will when the time is right and can feel that it will be a powerful addition.
My natal sun is in this decan so I have greatly enjoyed connecting with it. Great to anoint petitions for wealth magic.
Verbal expression has always been a challenge for me, especially at work, and somehow I missed this oil when making my initial CAP III purchase.
Luckily, I got the chapstick and loved how it smoothed the path for whatever needed to be said, so I went back and ordered the Decree Oil.
Since using it, I feel much more sure of what I say, how I say it... and even more importantly, I trust that whatever is coming through me is meant to be expressed. This oil has helped me take my ideas more seriously than ever before, my self-reflection and journaling sessions have felt profound.
I think this subset is my favorite of the entire CAP III series, both oil and incense, I use them a lot to get things done, plan and strategize (as you mention), it makes me more direct and I have also offered it as an offering to the spirits and they seem to like it a lot.
I keep a small collection of materia in my office for dealing with various work situations. Looking fofward to working with this one for projects, planning meetings, and just dealing with people in my office I need an little bit of extra brain power to handle.
When used in conjunction with the ink in ritual, this incense is Divine and has been so well received by the spirits attending. Upon burning, my body feels centered - grounded - like an ancient tree with roots that reach the core of the earth. Rubbing a bit of the charcoal left over on my lips along with the ink before activating sigils, or, speaking a loud my petitions has been incredibly powerful. A staple to be sure for workings - or just as an offering to Venus
The Sovereign’s Decree anointing oil has become my new favorite of all anointing oils and for sure of the three options under this election. This comes with a heavy weight. Application to the self brings you right down into the earth, so securely rooted. The sensation took me by surprise. Consistent use has made the initial shock die down. I’m no longer surprised by the weight and rootedness. It feels supremely natural. The scent is just rich enough… not too rich! It’s the perfect amount of everything. This is going to be a staple for me, possibly forever. I happened to accidentally receive two in my initial purchase and what a happy mistake that was. I will be blasting through this. I have so much difficulty with anxiety, distraction, insecurity, and just feeling so out of touch with my Self. Sovereign’s Decree safely forces you with love and protection to root IN. TO. YOU!!!!!!!!!
Amazing medicine for those who struggle to identify with their personal power, are not used to being heard, etc. It can come as a shock, wearing this oil. Reminds me a bit of Empress in this way but more… sober? Less entitled maybe? Attracts resources and information to grant you power beyond what you thought yourself capable of.
Adds weight and presence to whatever you are working. I didn’t put it on personally, but gave it to my “king plant” in my indoor zen garden. I added the Antares oil as well… and, well, the plant looks like a basking dragon each morning if you ask me, and the room has the best vibe. It IS a cathedral unto itself now. The whole space is its own azure vault of dreamworld wonder. Loved working this oil into something more practical and day to day. This series is one you want to keep with you if you know what I mean. And, when I water the plant, it smells like the oil, and wow… what a scent.
