Bath Salt of Asclepius II

Sold out — a new batch is available as part of Asclepius IV

As detailed in the series description, ritual baths were one of the first steps taken to cleanse those who made pilgrimage to temples of Asclepius in pursuit of healing, and salt is a tried and true agent of natural purification in ways both physical and metaphysical.

Dead Sea salt, Himalayan pink salt, and epsom salt were combined with essential oils of frankincense, cypress, and tea tree, alongside herbs from the consecrated incense mixture and 24k gold leaf, with Asclepius’ blessing.

Draw a bath and add the mixture to the water to clear your energetic field, increase magnesium levels, and soothe and detoxify your system. Includes a prayer to Asclepius and suggested times for ritual potency. Fully immerse yourself, occasionally wetting the full head and hair for best results. Soak for 13 minutes or more.

The formula of this salt is highly concentrated with essential oil to make less go a longer way. Available in an eight ounce glass jar for $33, enough for 2 deeply purifying baths, or add smaller amounts to many, utilizing the principle of contagion.

Essential for spiritual cleansing. Sometimes, the results are very subtle and not noticeable right away. But recently during a rough week, I took a full Asclepius bath and immediately all the mental noise dissipated. These bath salts also work wonderfully for physical health! I frequently prepare Asclepius baths for my partner when his back is acting up. This helped me not only manage chronic hip pain from work, but helped it disappear!! (Via finding an acupuncturist and a great yoga studio nearby!). Most highly recommend. Also an excellent primer for any magical workings!

Deep Cleanse

I'm able to stretch these salts to last for several baths (supplementing with Epsom salt) and still feel profound effects as part of a full bathing protocol. In fact, it works so well that I don't know that I'd want more than a small handful at a time! I plan to try Son of Apollo for less stripping baths in the future, but this is absolutely amazing, particularly after working with heaviness. These salts should be a staple for anyone who regularly works in the depths.

Wash away what ails you

I use this with the energetic cleansing bath, but also love it for less formal baths when I am feeling sore or under the weather. Deeply soothing, and I get the most restful sleep after.

Echoing the clean and clean-slate feeling these salts provide. I feel like I'm able to slough off most of the week's feelings and turbulence from these bath salts alone. Because I don't have a bath tub, I dissolve a spoonful of salt into 2-3v cups of water, and gently pour the dissolved-salt water onto my body and rub it into my skin. Wish I had bought the bulk size because I can tell I'll be using this every week. The scent is Divine, and I feel so renewed after using it. Chef's kiss

Squeaky spiritually clean

I love a good bath and especially a good spiritual bath and these salts are my #1 all time favorite for spiritual cleansing, but they are ALSO great just for a restful soak without all of the ritual rigamarole (though I love that, too) OR for a quick cleansing scrub in the shower. You will feel CLEAN and bright inside and out.

My favorite limpia bath!! Whenever I feel weighed down by the stresses of life or the lingering negativity of challenging moments, this is my sanctuary. It's not just about washing away the physical grime; it's about purifying my energy, resetting my spirit, and restoring a sense of clarity. Using these salts it's a sacred practice of self-care and self-awareness. It's about acknowledging the importance of energetic hygiene and taking proactive steps to maintain my well-being. Love love Asclepius <3

Sink into the healing waters

These bath salts completely refresh my auric and energetic body. I also use a pinch in a small cup of water by the side of my bed to aid in restful, healing sleep. This is the real deal!

I finally did another ritual cleansing bath and I think these salts are my preferred materia for the procedure. Helps keep it simple by streamlining my materia selection but is also very effective, and I usually use smaller amounts of materia. The difference afterwards is significant.

Wonderful for depression, burnout, & grief

After a series of deaths in my friend group and in my family from the end of December into January, as well as the anniversary of another death in the family years earlier, I felt heavy with grief. Day in and day out I'd go to work and for eight hours straight I would think of death and grief and wonder why they were taken so young. This went on for weeks. In my moments alone, I would think of death and the injustice of the world and just cry.

I was anointing with Asclepius IV which helped me to express the grief but wasn't cutting into the deep ache I felt. Unlike other deaths I've faced, the tears came easily and I thank Asclepius for that mercy. Still, I was in a pit of despair and I needed to climb out.

I had intended to save the Asclepius bath salts for the ritual bathing protocol but I knew this couldn't wait until then. I drew a bath and made sure each part of me had been submerged in the bath water at least a few times. I cried a few times but no tears came out.

Once I drained the tub (strainer recommended for the bits of herbal mixture & rose of Jericho once you drain), I immediately felt lighter. I hadn't eaten prior to the bath so I was lightheaded. These bath salts really do strip the slog right out of you, but in doing so can also leave you feeling pretty depleted. Having snacks and drinks on hand for after the bath is a must. A nap may also be in order.

This is all to say that these bath salts work absolute wonders but they are not an everyday use kind of thing. If you find yourself giving into grief, burnout, or depression, these bath salts help to alleviate those heavy feelings and leave you feeling much lighter. You'll know when to call upon these bath salts to do their magic.

Side note: if you're going to use these bath salts, I do recommend a full bath if possible, or at least pouring a blend of the water and salt over each part of you. I've used these salts for a few foot baths. Although it's nice, relaxing, and makes my feet feel like they're floating afterwards, I did not get anywhere near the results as I got with a full bath/submersion.

Essential for Health Workings

I'm probably someone who has hyped up these bath salts (as a bath and glamour witch) when they first came out, and I have used them loyally ever since. These bath salts provide a nourishing practical means for me to ease my muscles and whatever else is ailing me or sore, but they also help me deepen my practice with the Divine Physician Himself, and by engaging with Him in the bath, I can also deepen spiritual relations. Honestly though, whenever I engage with Asclepius and this material (specifically salts,) I find more out about my body and tend to it-- this is especially true if you combine it with any of the Luna/Moon series. What a beautiful way to engage with the spirits of the stars and bringing it back down to Earth. Thank you Kaitlin + co!

  1. I tore a muscle or tendon in my leg while doing some heavy landscaping, resulting in a limp the following day. Which turned into excruciating pain that night. I could barely move; it took me 20 minutes to find a tolerable position to even get out of bed and to the bathroom. I called out of work, stayed in bed all day, applying CBD oil and arnica until I could finally soak with Asclepius bath salts. Next day, still barely mobile. Soaked again that night, layering to Asclepius oil to the entire area afterwards.
I wake up the 3rd day, after 2 days of baths and oil application, and I can walk normally. No limp. No tenderness. As if it never happened. Pure magic. Now there’ll always be a jar of this bath salt in my cabinet!

  2. I’ve been using these salts daily, along with the Deneb Algedi salts, both cut with epsom &/or sea salt at a rate of roughly 1 part S+S salt to 4-5 parts my plain salt. When I’m in the shower, I put about a tablespoon in a plastic cup, add hot water from the shower stream, cover the cup and shake to dissolve. Then I pour the mixture over myself, reciting the “Asperges me” three times. This is now a standard part of my spiritual hygiene habit. I follow this with some Asclepius oil over my heart as I dress. So far, I’ve been healthy and protected.

  3. So I have the first iteration of the bath salts, and this is the 2nd iteration. There are, no surprise, minor variants in the energy around them. Asclepius II actually feels slightly more punchy than Asclepius I. I would have described as AI as much more soothing, and AII is much more active. Both are powerful detoxifiers, but AII feels like it has a touch more oomph. I have enjoyed all of the Asclepius salts, and would recommend either version for a nice purifying or healing bath.
