The Throne’s Salve
Vast majority organic or wildcrafted herbal ingredients: witch grass, skullcap, comfrey root, sweet woodruff, burdock root, licorice root, Solomon’s seal, shavegrass, stone root, wormwood, mugwort, mastic, turmeric, goldenseal, bay leaf, gotu kola, and propolis, ritually fumigated at the height of Capricorn III’s election and immersed in 100% organic virgin olive oil.
Low john root, white oak, lucky hand root, and 24k gold. Combined with organic beeswax and essential oils of yuzu, turmeric, frankincense, vetiver, caraway, and celery seed.

This is wonderful. It feels kind of all-purpose. I’ve been able to apply it morning, midday, and nighttime without any issues. Eases anxieties and worries seamlessly. The lip balm and Kolonía sometimes do a quick SNAPping you out of an anxious state but this is more like easing into a feeling of ease. At some point you realize you’re not anxious or worried because you’re so invested in the present moment. An incredible ally for a busy mind. Helps with concentration but isn’t overly stimulating. There’s way too much going on in the world and if you’re sensitive to it, this is such a balm in response.
Rather than only working magically with charged substances such as an anointing oils, I like the added medicinal benefits of working with salves. It sometimes reveals a correlation between circumstantial and somatic blockages. During money-oriented operations I used this salve to address issues of muscle tension particularly in the neck, calves, and feet. It’s had an interesting benefit of helping reveal what needs to be done about the issues rather than just soothing them, such as strengthening or stretching auxiliary muscles contributing to problems. I’ve also found myself drawn to certain herbs and exercises for overall health and stabilization that had parallels with accompanying financial gain.
This salve has quite a strong scent and is very grounding. It helps to align me with my inner strength and makes me feel calmly confident. I've used it in meetings when I need to be heard and respected.
The Throne's Salve from the Cap. III election has provided me with really solid footing. I wear this salve often to work, where I have historically been overgiving, undervaluing my own contributions (which in turn, causes others to undervalue them), and just generally insecure feeling. (Mars in Cancer in the 10th) Throne's Salve has helped me to feel firmly seated in my own centered throne. Sovereign, and holding a quiet, calm authority and pride of work that I knew was in me - those other parts just needed a soothing balm. And here it is! I've layered it with Sun without Sin to help lift what could become too serious and to bring a little levity and joy to the throne. <3<3<3
Like the Sovereign's Throne's water, the Throne's salve is a very work-friendly medicine that calms anxious states enough for you to be productive. I guess it's logical that the salve would specifically target the kind of anxiety that manifests as physical sensations rather than thoughts - at least for me! It's gently buffering and muffling and puts a temporary warmed towel around my shoulders while turning the inner volume knob down to bearable levels. Once I'm calmed, then the barrier that was stopping me from being productive is gone. I used it at work today and 1. felt much steadier, 2. realized I was hungry and so didn't skip lunch, 3. got my project turned in, and 4. felt strongly encouraged to leave work on TIME, eat a solid dinner, and get to bed at a reasonable time. So not only does it support your labor, it supports your self-care and appropriate regenerative rest.
It's a very calming ointment that helps you focus. I like to work in layers, but even a little bit of this after a bath gives you a calming sensation that's quite interesting to experience.
The cap 3 materia is incredible for me and this salve is so versatile and effective. It is calming for my overactive mind which helps so many different areas of my life.
I truly LOVE the cap II materia but it’s a little “spicier” and can be more aggravating to my skin at times if I’m not careful (for instance I can’t let it get anywhere near my face without breaking out), but this salve is MUCH more accessible and easy to use without having to be concerned about any skin reactions, while still offering energy and support in slightly different but just as helpful ways. It’s not as immediately fiery and charged feeling as Cap II, but rather a more stabilizing energetic support that feels foundational and regulating to my burned out and frazzled nervous system.
It’s exactly the level of weightedness I needed to ground me down into the material realm and into my body. It’s like a weighted blanket for my nervous system! This in turn has actually led to me having MORE energy in the longer term bc my mind isn’t running away with itself and draining me of my precious energy reserves.
Without going into too much detail, it has functioned as an all around medicine for many different parts of my chart that need support. It’s extremely calming and centering and helps me breathe / move more intentionally.
I’m an earth rising with a ton of air and fire and very little earth so my overactive mind leaves me ungrounded feeling more often than not. This series helps tremendously to bring me back down to earth in a way that is deeply supportive and helpful.
Highly recommend for the anxious overthinkers amongst us!! I know I can’t be the only one who gets trapped in the mind space, oftentimes at the expensive of the physical vessel and environment. This series helps me to slow down and breathe and actually FEEL into my body which is really easier said than done most of the time in our modern day. Truly so grateful for this medicine thank you S&S!
