Sprinkle about a half teaspoon onto the palm of the hand and gently rub both together for 5-10 seconds, coating tops and bottoms. The hands can float 2 inches from the body or lightly skim it.⠀

Stand and run your palms from the crown of your head down the back of it, then start from the top again, going down the sides, the front of the face and down body, all the way to the tops of your feet. Sweep multiple times. ⠀

If you feel any areas “sticking”, continue stroking until energies disperse, and then proceed with additional downward sweeping.⠀

Continue skimming downward, running your cologned hands across every surface area, including under the arms, groin, between the legs, and rear, concluding with the bottoms of the feet by lifting them. This Kolonía is a staple for me. I work in the mental health field and it can leave me feeling very heavy. I use this Kolonía to cleanse me emotional aura and energy every morning.
I do a lot of scrying with a mirror. Wiping a mirror off with Luna in Cancer Kolona before scrying dials things up a lot! It cleanses it from previous attachments, and opens it up to a lunar influence, which is perfect for a lot of the scrying work. that I do.
I got this for my partner for his birthday because he’s diving deep into dream work and he loves it so far. He’s done cleansing on himself prior to sleeping and he’s mentioned a lot of cathartic and creative dreams.
I find the kolonias to be really accessible if I’m unsure of a series. Similar to waters, but the cleansing aspect has been very useful for me. This kolonia is probably the most versatile one I have, I find it gives me the primer I need for whatever I anoint with afterwards (and with careful consideration and attention paid to the current moon cycle). Mostly this just feels like comfort and safety for me, which is nice to be able to access.
The effects of this series are complex and multifaceted. I have been engaging with this kolonia as an energetic opener at night, as Moon transits allow. It has brought up many things in need of healing, particularly around issues of emotional and bodily comfort. Its action can best be described as illuminating those issues so that you do the work to release or transmute them. If all you need to feel comfortable is to crawl in bed then it will promote that and you will feel quite comfortable. If you have deeper, lingering issues it will intensify them so that you are forced to deal with them. It will not do the work for you. If you struggle with comfort it will make you uncomfortable so that you are forced to learn how to be comfortable. As such it is best used consciously and after you have an array of healing modalities at hand. It deepens the effects of reiki in particular. It is a tremendous ally and powerful adjunct for healing when approached with respect and the understanding that discomfort may arise. Know your limits. Watch the transits. This kolonia is clearing on an energetic level and yet sensitizing at the same time, like a surprisingly effective reset button in a bottle. It is one of the main kolonias I would buy again, or buy more of, because it can bring painful, elevated emotional states down to a different and more manageable level. I then like to spray Regulus III Water on me after use of this, or use DA and Regulus products in general, to seal my auric body and refocus / redirect my energy post-Kolonia use.
For some, this Kolonia’s type of impact could feel like too much at once (akin to peeling something off a raw patch of skin, perhaps). However, I like the effect because it has a soothing quality for my very active and logical Mercurial mind. I have a “heart of a lion” situation going on in my chart where I’m extremely analytical but have a lot of feeling and deep empathy in how my mind and heart work together. I end up internalizing a lot of emotions behind my logical layers and Mercurial presentation. So anything that can temporarily slow down and soothe my emotional state is helpful for relaxing my (no doubt overworked) nervous system.
Good for easing burnout and other emotionally challenging times. I also use it as a “primer” before doing some spiritual workings with other materia.
For reference, I have Luna/Moon in Leo in the Tropical chart and a Virgo ascendant.
Luna in Cancer kolonia is analogous toward using Asclepius kolonia. If Asclepius kolonia is about healing and cleansing, LiC is also in that vein, but much more spiritiually/energetically. Helps put you in touch with your emotions (which is either a big plus, or a big minus depending on how in tune you are with your emotions). Would recommend if you’re dealing with burnout to reset to a base level. I have found pairing with Regulus 3, Exalted Sol, or Deneb Algebi materia post-kolonia use is useful to me.
I remember reading in Kaitlin’s energetic cleansing and bathing ritual writeup something about the ears being a place where energy can collect, so short on time and feeling into it, I dabbed a qtip in Luna Kolonia and swabbed my ears and did another quick aura cleanse all over with more Kolonia in my palms. It felt very thorough and somewhat made me feel buoyant too like more space had been created in addition to the space made from clearing out debris. Anointed with DA oil afterwards to seal, A+!
