Loaded D8 Divination Dice

A collaboration arranged by the Winged Messenger himself…

Sphere + Sundry welcomes for the first time Kit Cox of Tabletop Gems, who gracefully slid into our DMs inquiring about a potential collaboration right as we initiated pre-production for this series, *not knowing* there had been a full set of D&D dice on Mercury in Gemini’s working altar during the operation!

These beautiful D8s were cast in the hour of Mercury, with Mercury in Gemini Powder imbuing. They are loaded for divination purposes, where choices can be assigned to odd or even numbers, or a list of numerical options. They can also be carried on one’s person as a curio for improving one’s Mercurial odds, or otherwise kept on a Mercury Altar.

The vast majority of these went to Altar Box Sets, but a few are available standalone. If people have good results, we will do more in the future!

12th House Explorations

First off—it is a very lovely, charming die of excellent quality! Aesthetically wonderful and definitely carrying the Mercury in Gemini energy. And with that energy residing in my 12th house, I've got some more time to spend and mystery to lean into in working with this item. The Froggy and Door Key subsets I've worked with have been a little more aligned for me, with the die feeling more playful and trickster-y, and very much with its own agenda for me to court and get to know more.

Why is nobody talking about this!?

You know, I’m disappointed nobody reviewed these already! Sure, I’ve only used mine once as I prefer other forms of divination - and I'm not really experienced in using dice for divinatory purposes - but if my memory serves, these were quality and had nice weight. Plus, when you think about it, is like a mini-talisman of its own. I’m baffled as to why nobody has talked about this! I think I’ll update this review as I use the die more.
