Deneb Algedi Oil

Deneb Algedi oil was my very first S+ purchase and remains a mainstay of my collection. It is grounding, protecting and anchoring. It offers calm respite when I am anxious and a welcome shield when I am in need of protection. Truly one of my favorite and most treasured allies in the realm of astrological materia.

When I first applied Deneb Algedi, I felt like I had just put on some heavy, stabilizing boots. My stride was even and solid, and I felt pretty secure and un-f*ck-with-able, especially when I was working in customer service. This materia has been helpful for boundary setting and deterring people from pulling any shenanigans in my presence. It has also helped regulate me when I’m faced with a storm of intense emotions so that I can make clear-headed, fair decisions. True to the original write-up, it does bring increased police presence, which was not a problem in my experience. It has assisted loved ones with legal matters. I’ve also used Deneb Algedi to ward the interior of my house (prior to acquiring Firey Wall), and that would often coincide with pointing out minor security issues like needing to seal an opening where bugs were getting in or needing to replace an outdoor camera battery. As a ward, it has even helped to repel some unsavory minor entities from entering my home.

The first time I wore this I went to work and they caught a guy getting into the “locked” areas (where you need a badge) and stealing people’s things. It was so spot on i thought I was dreaming.
(Apparently this is a thing with “secure” buildings that have communal areas- I had no idea)

This is a lovely oil that feels amazing, but the person I gave it to was unable to succeed at the legal proceeding for which I gave it. However I believe it was eventually used in other ways to support other family members more successfully.

Every time I anoint with this, it feels like I'm getting washed over with a cool, calm wave or protection. I feel a little more like my spiritual senses are on alert and can see more clearly. I'm always going to need DA in some form or another on hand, everything I've tried has been wonderful!

This oil is what I turn to when I feel unsafe + ungrounded. I also work with it to ward my home. It works quickly to provide a sense of peace and protection like a bubble around me and my home. DA isn’t a guardian angel but I do get those vibes sometimes.

My first experience with the DA materia was with the anointing oil, which I found so grounding and calming that I began carrying it in my bag every day. I’ve since purchased the it in several other forms to be used both on the body and in ritual. But the anointing oil is still my go-to. When I use it I feel like I’m marking myself as being under the protection of the gods. I am safe and I am not alone.

The DA incense looks unassuming but is of course really powerful - it's an interesting mix of two contrasting scents (minty vs something darker, almost acrid) and you can feel it working as soon as you start burning it. Like some other DA items, definitely feels protective in an active way.

Such an effective helper for setting boundaries for myself and staying on-task at work! I feel able to take care of responsibilities with less resistance, and find myself at the end of the day thinking "I'm so good at my job" much more than before. Also helps me feel more at-ease and secure in the knowledge that I am protected during my long daily commute.

I began using the powder x salts last month, while needing to travel more frequently on the subway. As someone incredibly sensitive, I was curious to see how much containment they’d offer. When they arrived, something intuitively let me know they wanted to hang in my hallway. I hadn’t even opened the package yet. I listened. Days later, I had an incredibly bizarre x scary encounter, when a stranger followed a food delivery person into my building and up to my apartment. They stood uncomfortably close, near my very open apartment door, even after the delivery person left. I was preparing to move the delivery into my apartment while they pretended to be looking for someone. It became clear they were stalling. They looked at me, made a movement to reach for the bags, but hesitated. They finally left after asking for money, once again taking a long pause with noticeable hesitation. It for certain felt like he was weighing his options and considering what to do. The entire experience was surprising and unsettling. The powder x salts were just a few feet away from my apartment door and I was super glad to have them there. As far as travel, on a day when I packed a little more powder than usual, there was a string of different police investigations that delayed the trains. A funny sync for sure. More recently, I’ve kept a jar of bluing near my front door and have been sprinkling mugwort, salts, and powder outside of my apartment door. It has kept a pesky management person away. Looking forward to discovering new ways of relating to this series. Deeply grateful.
