Please note that the loaded herbal components in the spell soaps can make them slightly “scratchy” on the skin, which can serve to exfoliate, or, use your hands to work up a lather and transfer it to whatever areas you wish to wash!
Note that Sphere + Sundry’s Incense Powders are designed to be burned *without* charcoal, on beds of premium ash in a firesafe dish or plate. Pour ash, then pat or use a tool to create a relatively smooth surface. Pour the desired amount of Incense Powder into the palm of your non-dominant hand, and use the other to assemble a thin peaked mound, line, or sigil, pinch by pinch. These can be quite thin if desired. The neater and more ridged your shape is, the better it will burn! Light the top of the ridge to ignite.
Taking time to prepare Incense in this way can be a meditative and centering experience, and allows the practitioner to create custom burn times with zero waste. If your line ends up too long, simply use a knife to ‘cut’ the fresh powder away from the ignited portion to use later.

This is just lovely and supporting in a way I did not know I needed. Really helped me work through long standing anxiety and made way for the compassionate aspects of myself to tend to my emotional needs, instead of the hard ass mean parts that had been working overtime!
I have the Azure Dragon incense/powder and a mini of the oil, and I find both to be *so* incredibly helpful with my ADD & fatigue issues! Not too warming or overly aggressive, it is just right.
Bought the oil and upon initial application, it felt like it had open up my heart center. A flood of different emotions came up to the surface, a lot relating to self-worth and showing up for myself. The energy of this subset is so different from the rest of this series and feels great to use everyday, especially with keeping self-improvement in mind. This subset reminds me that if there are goals I’d like to accomplish, showing up everyday for myself is half the battle.
I love this anointing oil! I also love Badger and Scorpion, this one felt like the most uplifting of the three. It gives an energy and bounce in my step that's very helpful on heavy days. I overdid it combining with other mars materia...not a good idea! At least not before mastering them well. It made me emotional and flaky, and I didn't know what to do with all the energy.
Great for a work out, or to start your engine if you feel down. Go for a good long run or do a solid work out, it will be energy well spent. I will work more with this one over a period of time, with planing and a dedicated project to work on. This is powerful, and it hits just as described.
As described, exceedingly wearable! Motivates and provides steady stamina to see through what needs seeing through. Encouraging and lifting energy, makes showing up simpler, easier, and more straightforward, alleviating sticky resistance.
I was so unsure about this series and the ink, and yet felt so drawn to it for reasons I wasn't certain of. When I finally got the ink, it felt like a rush of magical confirmation that it smelt a bit of pandan, which is a plant that is extremely important to me. I didn't expect this in the more fiery energy of this series, but it meshes beautifully with the rest of the scent profile and colours etc for a springtime vibe. An unexpected treasure for me that does absolutely motivate without any downsides.
I was lucky to purchase the Azure Dragon oil from the Secondary Marketplace. I went for this subset because I have Antares exactly conjunct my moon and, needless to say, that is a lot to handle already, so I wanted something more gentle, yet still motivating. This oil did not disappoint! I have been using it in combination with Jupiter's Lightning Rod to restart my (formerly very consistent) workout routine after a six month pause due to winter illnesses that got me off track. Azure Dragon has helped me tune in to my body rather than mindlessly overtraining because that's what my mind is telling me "I'm supposed to do" (hello Virgo Sun) and I've found myself finding the JOY in physical movement again. Like catching myself spontaneously dancing or singing during my workouts (what?)! Definitely will keep an eye out for more of this as it has been enormously helpful and my Sag moon just adores this stuff<3<3<3
I have been using the incense for about a week and my best description is that it is an immediate state-changer. I am dramatically burnt out with an unhappy mars. I have struggled to be intentional about what I am trying to achieve with this materia, only to realize in this situation by simply using it at all I am showing up for myself.
If you are autistic/ neurodivergent and burnt out I would give this a shot. I am excited to see where it leads me.
The Azure Dragon Subset is a great tool for those struggling with low energy levels, anxiety and, perhaps, even those battling a lack of will to live. Both of my luminaries are squared by Saturn in a night chart so I’m no stranger to all of the above. I promise you’ll have little to NO SIDE EFFECTS if you carefully follow the instructions provided by Kaitlin - The Creator and Magus in Charge (surprise, surprise!). As a stubborn Taurus rising, I OBVIOUSLY ALWAYS KNOW BETTER, so I had to learn the hard way. Now, this is a carefully crafted materia, and the Azure Dragon is the safest of the subsets, so it won't injure you. Though, it will save you painful skin breakouts and completely wasting your day on being irritated to the point of uselessness. After all, turns out it’s NOT an amazing idea to do your first round of application directly on bare skin, on a Mars Day (Tuesday) AND without any mitigating materia. Who would’ve known? It’s not like I’ve been told this is EXACTLY what I shouldn’t do. *eyeroll*
To sum up:
1) Start SLOW. That means start with one drop, once a week, either on a primed skin or on a jewellery piece, if you’d like to be extra careful.
2) PRIME YOUR SKIN – apply Jupiter in Pisces or Asclepius Series first on the patch of skin where you’re going to apply the Azure Dragon next. It will amplify the healing effects of increased energy, drive and optimism and will minimise any skin breakouts you might get.
3) EXERCISE – I’m not a person who’s into exercising and just a brisk walk where you break the tiniest bit of sweat will do the job. The sweating part seems to be important here for some reason, even if it’s very little. It does make a HUGE difference in taking off the edge and mitigating any feelings of irritation that may come with use.
4) APPLY ON A JUPITER DAY (Thursday) or, in the worst-case scenario, Sun Days (Sunday). Mars Day will NOT increase its efficiency. It will only make you waste your time on being irritated. Spend your Mars days with the Sun or Mars materia instead. Might disturb your sleep if you apply it at nighttime.
Been curious about Antares work ever since I learned it was in a couple of my parans and the powder form of this seemed like the best, easiest place to start. I've honestly not totally known what to do with it, definitely more than a little intimidated and unsure I know what job to give it, so I've used it very sparingly. But it recently revealed its power to me when the Sag New Moon had me feeling compelled to work with it, and it felt perfect for my second trip to see a new doctor. I was getting a pap, which always makes me nervous for being uncomfortable at best and kind of dissociative at worst. But my new doctor was so so sweet and reassuring, and just minutes after I laid back on her table and waited for pain, she was like, "okay, all done 😊" and I was like, "wait, that's it??" Like I did not feel a damn thing!! Best pap of my life, no question! But I had to do bloodwork too, which also stressed me out, and once I was in the lab, i asked the phlebotomist to distract me with a story and she was a hoot and a half. I left the office smiling and told the admins to give my compliments to the chef. Got top to bottom great results on my labs too! Can totally see how AD is great for health stuff and so glad I wore it that day. Looking forward to seeing what else it can do!
I’ve had a difficult time with this energy as even this subset has me raging fairly quickly. Finally I used it very sparingly - a dab of oil on the heart, and sat down to meditate with it. I could feel/sense that it is working through heavy sludgy blockages within me and that is where the rage is coming from - not the mars energy itself. I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time with it.
If you need motivation and inspiration- this is your go to. Love the scent- it is uplifting and powerful!
I've been putting the powder in my socks and applying the oil to the bottoms of my feet before I go to the gym and I can definitely feel how my workouts are super supported by Martial energy! I feel very much a "LFG" energy when I apply this materia, but I don't experience burn out after or any kind of exhaustion. Just super excited to be at the gym!!
This is the most physical materia I've ever used so the TCM must be legit, cause I feel it doing something when I apply it to my skin, moreso even than any oil I've ever tried. Sadly I sold mine when I was in a pinch so if you see it in the secondary market, run don't walk, because it dissolves energetic blockages in your system like a road opener
Did not expect to love this oil as much as I do. Was tentative, a bit afraid but I'm soooo happy I chose this. It feels so supportive and inspiring and helps expand my capacity to get through stuff and have productive days. I love the scent of this oil - it feels sinuous and powerful - the way a snake feels, sliding through your hands. There's a wisdom to it that brings a hugely positive, masculine energy hit. Super sexy and enlivening.
This has been delightful to work. Giggles galore. So in love. My keywords are fluid flow and deeper inner knowing from focus that glows up into clarity. Big heart heat energy. It helps to bring your attention to what can “hurt or help you” in a situation. It speaks with intention and holds. It builds where it’s well met with a generous and generative energy.
It’s the fluid martial arts move you learned ages ago that you remember now to get up more easily off the floor. It’s knowing what you know like a best buddy shoulder bumping you with that look only you share. It’s “I’ll go with you,” especially where others wouldn’t. It’s “we’ve been here before–this is what we know now.” It’s music in everything that conducts the vibe higher. It’s the undying will that wicked grins you into remembering: that story, that song, that feeling, that person, that time–that gives you the inner heat to dig in, hold, go deeper when there is only the dark wrapped burlap close ‘round the otherwise wind warped fire. It’s the story you hold in your chest that reminds others they have theirs too. It’s that part of you that’s okay to stand alone, to say that thing that someone else wouldn’t, because there is a point. Know your worth. Know the things worth defending. Stand with that. Feel stood beside. Lean into each other. Bunker up, band of brothers.
Every ounce of care you give the process (pack snacks, put hand cream on after washing the dishes, etc.), this gives back and works into bringing again next time. Big layer energy. I layered it with Butter Ocean Jupiter a few times to really up the release of bad vibes and pain, and that worked very nicely–shockingly well. Very friendly for me. Very versatile and eager, but patient too. It will hold, and it will wait, and it will show you what the weaknesses to be won over are on both sides. You first. But, like, laughing like you do when you have to sit and watch something change beneath the weight of your gaze over time.
I keep forgetting that I have this oil in my arsenal, which is a shame since it's such a valuable asset! I'm so glad that I thought to use it today, though, since I had to get up early to bring my car in to a new mechanic to get some issues addressed that the dealership was possibly over-exaggerating (and certainly overcharging me to fix). I hadn't slept well and was not looking forward to any of this, but it had to be done!
***Enter: Azure Dragon***
After prepping with the Antares Kolonia, I applied some of the AD oil before setting out. First I encountered surprisingly smooth traffic conditions. Then when I arrived, I found an easy parking spot right next to the main office (in the otherwise crowded lot). Then when I walked in, I saw others were seated and waiting already in the stifling hot space, making me fear that it might take awhile before my turn. But then the mechanic walked in and was ready to speak to me straight away! -- Fast forward to me having been able to articulate my concerns unusually well (being very much not well-versed in car talk), and learning that two separate issues I thought I'd need addressed were actually the same issue and would require an easy, single fix for a very reasonable cost. The third issue, meanwhile, was identified as a non-issue after all, which was a huge relief since I'd been quoted around $2k in repairs if it came to that! Also the mechanic installed some wire mesh to prevent rodents from accessing part of my car they'd been nesting in at no additional cost! GAME CHANGER.
I actually had to drive out to the place three times in one day, which would ordinarily be a draining hassle, but it all went super efficiently and I managed to run some extra errands along the way! At the end I chanced on a new drive-thru car wash that had just opened and decided to check it out, only to get another fantastic deal. Then I took advantage of their self-service vacuum and window-cleaning stations and went into cleaning overdrive in 90 degree heat, which probably wasn't a great idea but I had so much STAMINA to spare so I really went for it.
Afterwards I was totally exhausted so the warnings about burnout are quite apt, but it was kinda worth it i.m.o. -- definitely something to watch out for, though. All in all, I felt like I was sailing on a benefic breeze of high energy and good fortune today -- but now I'm so tired that this review has spiraled out into something way too long, so I'm gonna go get the good night's rest that I feel is coming to me 😉
I LOVE this incense. An absolute slay (pun intended) from S+S. I was a bit nervous about getting it, but was Told to do so and repeatedly drawn to it. When I received it, I had just the worst migraine, which had been in effect since I ordered it, so I didn't touch it because I knew migraines were one side effect. But I was just so drawn to it, so finally, I unwrapped it and picked it up. As soon as I touched it, the migraine went from a 100% to a 25%. I set the materia down, and back up the migraine went. Picked it up and down it went. It was one of the wildest things I've experienced. So I burned some and used it one myself, and the migraine left entirely. My migraines do not just leave, especially suddenly. It felt almost like I had had some sort of severe deficiency that this materia satiated. I am a very Martian person, but am often unable to run that charge, and I've realized recently how much that has hurt me. This series feels like a homecoming in many ways.
I've used it to Get Shit Done a lot as well, and while it's absolutely aces at that, there is definitely the risk of burn out or running on fumes. I've never stayed up for 24hrs straight in my life, and after using this, I once stayed up for over 36hrs straight, just working on a creative project. So don't do that! Or if you do, do a ton of self-care afterwards and apply more nurturing series in between.
Application of this powder gives me terrific energy and stamina for workouts and other physically-oriented tasks. For ones of a more cerebral nature, however, it makes me quite irritable. I’m still experimenting at combinations with other, more softening materia with the aim of tapping into that energy and drive while avoiding the mental overstimulation part.
This is an extremely hot item. Instant energy and power to accomplish that which is before. A series of profound synchs led me to purchase this product, and engage with Spehre and Sundry in the first place. It is eminently useful, I can't recommend it highly enough. As many people will attest, it is a user friendly way to access Martian energy.
Honors the divine Mars energy within, appreciate the "frame" especially for Wood Dragon year. Up and at'em energy with a healthy mindset both spiritually and physically. I'm definitely connecting with this series for the heart and purifying Shen energies, Azure Dragon feels like a safe way to do it, win-win situations, and the Mandate indeed!
Azure Dragon is *so* effortlessly lovely. It's be my main tool for Martial remediation and it's somehow just the right blend of no nonsense (very good for getting me out of my head) but not overbearing or stern in any way. I burn the incense every time I need to get my brain in order to apply it to a task and things just click into place and open up for me in a way my watery ADHD self rarely experiences any other way. I truly cannot say enough good things, doubly so as I was so unsure about the materia in the first place.
I wasn't quite sure how this subset would work for me because like that joke that goes "'Do you or anyone in your family suffer from mental illness?' 'No, we all seem to enjoy it,'" I cannot claim to "struggle" with not wanting to be part of the world. AD doesn't make me social, but it doesn't force everyone out of my sphere the way the Badger and Scorpion subsets do.
I don't use AD for warding since it doesn't want to be used that way. I use it for that "you got this" feeling when I have a ton of things to do and zero motivation to do them. Although I feel it's less "win just by showing up" and more "win just by trying." I have to actually do something for this energy to kick in but once it does, we're off to the races! It's an interesting energy and rather different than Exalted Mercury's "tackle your to-do list" or Quicksilver Tongue's "whistle while you work" energy. You won't forget to eat or sleep with AD.

A great alternative to Mars materia for those with challenging Mars placements. Something about this oil is comforting. The scent reminds me of herbal medicines and bittersweet tonics. Use with intention for best results (such as for exercise or blasting through a checklist of to-do's).
I came here to write a review of the Azure Dragon ink/stain, and fell down the rabbit hole of reading others' reviews. It's always inspiring to learn how others are engaging with this magic. As someone with a moderately dysfunctional Mars, I approached this series with care. The ink is a sweet spot for me -- invigorating, dense with focus, and beautiful to boot. I use it in tandem with written goals and benchmarks, as a magical asterisk and booster. Though it appears to be sold out, this is a ringing endorsement for all future S+S inks.
I really love the energy and strength the azure dragon brings! It has helped to usher in healthy activities and sports to better process and move the heat and anger that gets stuck in my body. I’m excited to see what this relationship ushers in as I continue to engage with it and build upon the foundations it has helped me to build for my betterment. Such a positive and energizing oil!
