Kolonía of Exalted Sol

This Kolonía was created with water freshly harvested from the headwaters of Mt. Shasta on the day of the 2021 Aries ingress, ritually combined with colloidal gold, grain alcohol (to a final 75% alcohol content), and essential oils on a fine Solar election the following Sunday in the second hour of Sol, as Humanity’s Own Star reigned supreme conjunct the Midheaven.

Turkish colognes are often sprinkled upon the hands before entering one’s household or business establishment, providing some natural sanitation and also a delightful scent. Kolonía of Exalted Sol can be used in such a way, or as you would any type of Florida Water for energetic cleansing, purification, and illumination. Makes it difficult for nasties to glom on or penetrate the auric body.

Shake well to integrate all of the essential oils before use.

Energy Clearing Protocol

For energetic cleansing, sprinkle about a half teaspoon onto the palms of the hands and gently but thoroughly rub together for 10 or so seconds, coating both sides. The hands can float 2 inches from the body or be lightly touching it.

Stand and run your palms from the crown of your head down the back of the head, then start from the top again, going down the front of your face and body, all the way down to the tops of your feet. If you feel any areas “sticking”, continue stroking them until energies disperse, and then proceed with downward sweeping.

Continue skimming from the head downward, running your cologned hands across every surface area, including under the arms, groin, and rear, concluding with the bottoms of the feet by lifting them. You can “flick” the energy off if it feels right, or it will dissipate naturally, however you prefer.

Take 10-30 seconds to close your eyes and integrate the cleansing, feeling the shift, and thank Sol for its purification and illumination, sealing the auric body from negativity.

Modeled in hard carver’s wax and cast at dawn on March 29, 2020 at 7:00 am EST in Williamsport Pennsylvania, during the planetary day and hour of the sun; the moon making its next applying aspect to the sun rising on the ascendant in its exaltation of Aries. Casting was accompanied by petition and suffumigation of saffron, and frankincense.

Cast in Electrum; an 80/20 alloy of silver and gold [with calcined salts of celandine, bay leaf, and amber.], the outer portion of the coin is engraved with the astral characters of the Sun from H. C. Agrippa’s 3 Books of Occult Philosophy (Bk I, chapter XXXIII). On the reverse, a scarab motif is engraved at each quadrant. Cast in 18k red gold, the center of the coin bears a blazing solar motif; and on the reverse, an image of a hawk with outstretched wings framing our rising sun carved in relief.

Pour ash, then pat or use a tool to create a relatively smooth surface. Pour the desired amount of Incense Powder into the palm of your non-dominant hand, and use the other to assemble a thin peaked mound, line, or sigil, pinch by pinch. These can be quite thin if desired. The neater and more ridged your shape is, the better it will burn! Light the top of the ridge to ignite.

The art created for this series was exacted at the correct hour and day following several days of fasting, prayers and solar devotions. The ankh, symbol of Going Forth and of immortal life, was added to the ram’s head after seeing a glowing version of it in dream. As the sun is eternal, so shall be the soul of those exalted beneath its beneficence. Thus, the piece is called ‘The Ascension of Amoun-Ra’ and is designed to be used as an altar image and focus of meditation.

The Ascension of Amoun-Ra: Raising the Pylons of the Sun is a votive ritual observance by which the solar sheaths of the physical, astral and etheric bodies are fortified and cleansed. For the ancient Egyptians no greater sun god existed than ram-headed Amoun-Ra. He was the literal and living embodiment of the sun. As such he established beside him for centuries a retinue of solar avatars who expressed specific attributes and powers needful for the full expansion of his cult. These were sometimes referred to as ‘pylons’: sentient manifestations of power which could confer upon devotees a wide array of abilities and talents. Modeled in hard carver’s wax, and cast in molten metal on August 9th, 2019 at 6:10AM EST in Williamsport PA, during the planetary hour of the Sun; accompanied by a solar petition and suffumigation of frankincense, cinnamon, sunflower, and celandine.

An 18k gold blazing sun, conjoined with an electrum (an 80/20 alloy of gold and silver) frame depicting our star ascending over the horizon. The heart of the sun is set with a 1.5ct ruby. The reverse side of the talisman is engraved with the planetary characters of the Sun as depicted in Arabic manuscripts of the Ghayat Al Hakim [Picatrix].

Mr. Mack’s preliminary findings —

The Sol in Leo talismans made space for a number of bird of prey synchronicities, beginning with a pair of hawks (the animal totem for the Sol in Leo series, featured upon The Golden Sovereign label) driving crows over my home in the morning hours following the casting (a scene which the talismans had a view of as they lay in a brass bowl under the sunlight post-casting).

My most immediate, embodied experience of the talismans was an awareness and correction of my breathing; which in turn reoriented my attention, put a bit more light behind my eyes and elevated my present experience – rather obvious; though I’d been unconsciously running on shallow breath, and I’d receive a nudge until this was remediated as I proceeded putting the finishing work/stone setting to the talismans.

In the days following the election I was contacted by a handful of clients, some familiar and some new acquaintances regarding not-explicitly-astrological metalwork; each of their projects connected either directly or indirectly to the Egyptian Horus. I’m thrilled with my experience with the Sol in Leo’s while they were at my bench, as well as with the opportunities that have presented themselves in their wake…

Oil Lamps of Golden Sol

Inspired by a workshop given by Professor Charles Porterfield on conjure lamps in the hoodoo tradition at the Viridis Genii Symposium 2019, glass vessels were suffumigated and filled with consecrated Sol in Leo herbal mix before being filled with golden, odorless, and clean burning paraffin lamp oil during the height of the election.

Contents include, among other high quality ingredients, sunflower harvested during the day and hour of the Sun, bay laurel, saffron, ginger, bloodstone, heliotrope, cedar, frankincense, and 24k gold.

As taught by the charisma-laden conjureman, the light (and shadow) from lamps (and candles, no doubt) can be guided with the use of mirrors to shine in certain directions, upon photographs or specific items for additional magical utility. It was this point in particular that inspired the idea that such light could also be used to feed, magnify, and activate talismans, and experiments since have successfully confirmed that suspicion!

A benefit oil lamps in particular possess over candles is that they can be eternally refilled, vastly increasing the span of their application and usefulness.
